As a registered participant in the Senior Scholarship, your student will receive periodic emails throughout the registration period about planning for and paying for college, as well as more general financial literacy information. The Iowa Financial Know-How Challenge: Senior Scholarship is sponsored by Iowa Student Loan® as part of its nonprofit mission to help students and families succeed in college. Thirty Iowa high school seniors will each be awarded a $2,000 college scholarship.
To qualify, students must complete two online tools designed to help them understand how:
In addition, students must submit a related assessment. Scholarships are awarded to students who achieve top scores on the assessment. In case of a tie, students with tied scores may be asked to complete a separate component to determine recipients.
The 2019–2020 Senior Scholarship registration period runs from Oct. 15, 2019, through 4 p.m. (Central time) on Feb. 21, 2020.

Thank you for registering for the 2019–2020 Iowa Financial Know-How Challenge: Senior Scholarship.
To be eligible for one of 30 scholarships of $2,000 each, you must complete the steps listed below.
Save this email. You will need the links provided and may need to refer to other information in this email.
Accessing the Tools. You must use the links below or at the end of the scholarship versions of the tools to access each subsequent step of the scholarship process; completing other versions of the tools will not allow you to receive credit. Please allow at least one hour to complete all the tools.
Receiving Credit. At the end of each step, you must enter the same student email you used to register for the scholarship to receive credit for completing the step. Using multiple email addresses may cause you to be disqualified from the scholarship. See complete rules.
Completion Deadline. You must complete all three steps below before 4 p.m. (Central time) on Feb. 21, 2020, to be eligible for the scholarship. Iowa Student Loan is not responsible for technical or other issues that may cause a late submission. Please allow yourself adequate time to complete and submit all steps.
Financial Literacy Emails. As a registered participant in the Senior Scholarship, you will receive periodic emails throughout the registration period about planning for and paying for college, as well as more general financial literacy information. If you choose to opt out of or block these emails, Iowa Student Loan reserves the option to attempt to contact you by email or another method if you are in contention for a scholarship award.
Student Loan Game Plan®. Consider various ways to lower your overall college costs and increase your income to reduce the amount you may need to borrow.
ROCI Reality Check. Maximize your return on college investment — or ROCI — by exploring jobs held by graduates of specific majors and by preparing financially for your career.
Assessment. See how much you know about the concepts presented in Student Loan Game Plan and ROCI Reality Check.
In case of a tie that results in more than 30 top scorers, the students with tying scores may be asked to complete a separate component to determine recipients. If you are required to complete another component, you will be notified at the email address you used to register and complete the preceding steps.
