Hi Dylan,
Last week, following the government's advice, we made the decision to close our doors to the public to help slow the spread of coronavirus. We''ve since told our classes, courses, space hires and artists that we''re going to be closed indefinitely, and got in touch with around a thousand customers to let them know that the rest of our spring season is cancelled and refund all tickets.
While we've been closed, we''ve been putting our heads together to find new ways of bringing what Jacksons Lane does best to everyone at home. Community is now more important than ever, and we want to continue doing all we can for those we work with while our building is closed. We''re already putting plans in place for online circus classes with our artists, bespoke performances, virtual Social Lunches and Zoom call catch-ups over coffee. If you have any ideas, please email admin@jacksonslane.org.uk and let us know - we'd love to hear from you!
As soon as we're on the other side of this, we want to get straight back to serving our purpose as a creative space for our incredible community. We really, really don't want to be in a position of cutting community services, reducing invaluable outreach projects for those faced with increased isolation over the coming months, or slowing our support for artists trying to fulfil their creative ambitions.
As one of Jacksons Lane's supporters, that''s where you come in. Can you help keep us going over these months? We're asking that you think about how much you would normally spend at Jacksons Lane over the next 2 months - whether that''s on drinks, shows or using the space - and consider giving it as a donation instead. Your support will help us to ensure Jacksons Lane can reopen as the thriving place of culture and community our visitors know us to be when this situation improves. If you''d like to make a donation, please click the button below.
Thank you for all your support so far. We look forward to welcoming you back to Jacksons Lane as soon as we can.
With lots of love from the Jacksons Lane team.
