Kaleidoscope Trust Welcomes new Trustees and announces its next Chair

Following a successful recruitment campaign over the summer, Kaleidoscope Trust is thrilled to have made a number of appointments across both its Board and committees.

It is with sadness that we anticipate Sir Stephen Wall's departure as Chair in summer 2021, but we are pleased to announce that our Trustee, Simon Millson, has been appointed as his successor.

Our new Trustees come from a variety of backgrounds and bring with them a range of unique expertise and skills that will be extremely valuable as the organisation continues to grow and expand its work.

In addition to our new Board appointments, we are pleased to welcome the following new members to our Committees:

Audit and Risk Committee: Frances Wilde.
Fundraising and Communications Committee: Adam Barriball, Beth Dowling-Jones, Rebecca Fox, Mike Oakes, Will McCallum, Ruth Stone.

The Kaleidoscope Trust team celebrated a socially-distanced Pride 2020

Pride month has had an altered feeling this year in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, but the unique challenges we have faced have encouraged many of us to be innovative and find new ways to stay connected to our vibrant communities during the lockdown. Through our engagement in a number of Pride events this summer, we hope to have injected a sense of much needed joy and celebration during what has been a challenging and isolating time for many of us. Read on to find out what Kaleidoscope Trust has been up to during the Pride season.

Pride Round-Up 2020

On Saturday 11 July, DIVA dreamt up the ultimate virtual Pride celebration to make sure our community wasn't isolated or excluded from Pride this year under the current circumstances.

Hosted by Char Bailey and Saski, there was a line up of incredible talent for over seven hours. Performers included Saara Aalto, Sinitta, Lots Holloway, Heather Peace and many more. If you missed it - don''t worry! - you can watch again by clicking through to the video above.

DIVA raised up to ?5,000 for Kaleidoscope Trust during the event. If you tuned in and donated, thank you all very much indeed.

Kaleidoscope Trust was delighted to be the official charity partner for PinkNews'' free, digital Pride for All event last month. Spanning four days, the line-up included a sensational mix of drag performances, live music and important conversations - all hosted online. We had a fabulous time dancing, singing and celebrating with you all. Make sure to catch up on sessions you have missed by clicking here.

Kaleidoscope Trust was also the proud official charity partner for LGBT+ business networking organisation myGwork in June. This spectacularly informative series of events was held for professionals, graduates, inclusive employers, and anyone who believes in workplace equality.
