Cream Of Kentucky Bourbon 11.5 Year

Cream of Kentucky 11.5 Years Old is the first release from J.W. Rutledge Distillery, founded by former Four Roses master distiller Jim Rutledge. Construction on the distillery is expected to break ground in 2019, and when construction is completed, the distillery will produce straight bourbon and rye whiskey the "old-fashioned way". In the meantime, Jim Rutledge is sourcing and blending whiskey from other distilleries to put out new releases under the J.W. Rutledge brands, starting with Cream of Kentucky. Cream of Kentucky 11.5 Years Old is a blend of 60 barrels, rumored to be Barton sourced distillate of an unspecified mash bill.

Gun Fighter Tennessee Orphan Cask 13 Year Old Bourbon

Gun Fighter 13 is aged for more than 13 years in new American white oak barrels at 100 proof with a dark brown amber color sporting magnificent legs which present themselves immediately and are long and relentless in my glass. The juice has an aggressive nose, with heavy oak overtones and light notes of sweet buttered corn and vanilla which screams Tennessee Whiskey profile. The flavor is mostly a mid-palette with burnt baking sugar, buttery smooth vanilla and caramel flavor on the tongue with a warm mouth feel. The finish comes is bold and dry with a peppery spice and, lots of oak overtones hanging around.

Barrell Bourbon Batch 024 is a marriage of high rye Bourbons ranging in age from 9 to 15 years old. The 9, 10, and 13-year-old barrels were chosen for their peppery assertiveness, making this "spice box" marriage wonderfully robust yet a little rough around the edges. They refined the blend by adding in citrus-forward, lower proof, 15-year-old barrels bit by bit, ensuring that the rye forward base would continue to shine while delivering a lush mouthfeel.

This straight rye whiskey is bottled at 97 proof and has a perfumed nose of elderflower, aromatic wood, and preserved lemon which leads to a palate of dried papaya and caramel. Furthermore, toasted vanilla, candied black licorice and honey linger, balancing an elegant yet powerful rye. The Rye Humor release is the second edition of straight rye whiskey produced by Pinhook.
