MINI JCW TEAM RETURNS TO RACING.
After a strong season opener, MINI USA and the MINI John Cooper Works Team had an exciting return to racing July 10 as the 2020 SRO TC America season resumed at Virginia International Raceway in Alton, VA. Mark Pombo in JCW Hardtop #61 won the second race and finished second and third in the other two races. And Tomas Mejia in JCW Hardtop #60 won the first race and finished second and third in the other two races.
While there were no fans in attendance due to social distancing, the races were livestreamed at YouTube.com/GTWorld. In addition, Pombo, Mejia and MINI John Cooper Works Race Team owner Luis Perocarpi participated in live debriefings and provided timing and scoring across MINI USA social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram.
MTTS IS BACK ON TRACK FOR 2021.
If the past few months have taught us anything, it’s the importance of family and community. Which is why we’re happy to announce the official MINI TAKES THE STATES 2021 dates. We’ll start in Burlington, VT on July 17 and rally to Greenville/Spartanburg, SC with our final drive-off taking place on the morning of July 25, 2021. Registration will open in April.
You can rally from the start line to the finish line or join for just a few days. The only two requirements are that you have a MINI and are up for a big adventure.
