Imagine taking a culinary journey through the seaside villages of Greece. Our dear friend Diane Kochilas is doing just this in the newest season of her show My Greek Table. Both Molyvos and Ousia are proud to be sponsors of this season's program - a must see for foodies and adventurers alike!

Premiering on New York public television on May 21, Season 3 of My Greek Table brings you authentic recipes made with distinctive ingredients from Greece's islands and coastlines. Be sure to check your local listings for air times.

Inspired by Diane's travels, we'd like to share two of our own authentic Greek recipes with you. While you're waiting to join us again at Molyvos and Ousia, you can prepare these simple favorites at home for a quick, satisfying taste of the Mediterranean. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do - Yiamas!
Tzatziki

Now that the temps are finally warming up, tzatziki is a refreshing option for a late springtime snack. Spread it on a flatbread or pita, use it as a dip with crunchy veggies or crackers, or add a dollop to that sandwich or burger. This recipe comes straight from the kitchen at Molyvos, so you know it's got to be good!

"Far West Side"

There's a fantastic new gin on the market coming out of Greece, and it's being launched by our very own Johnny Livanos! We will be featuring Stray Dog Wild Gin at all of our restaurants as soon as we are able to open our doors to you, but in the meantime, here's a fun recipe using Stray Dog Gin that you can try at home.

Great Greek Wines to Pass the Time

In search of amazing new wines to try while stuck inside? Molyvos Wine Director Kamal Kouiri has chosen two bottles to pair with a variety of at-home meals... and the best part is they're both available to-go from Ousia!

2019 Malagousia Alpha Estate from Florina in Macedonia, Greece
This white wine is light yellow in color with greenish tints. It is well-structured and has intense, classic aromas of rose petal, white florals and sweet spices, melon, lychee, and a hint of honeysuckle. On the palate, you'll notice flavors of citrus and tropical fruit with a hint of mountain herbs and a touch of minerals. The crisp acidity and long, lingering finish of this wine make it a great pairing for green salads, grilled vegetables, and shellfish.

2016 Xinomavro Hedgehog Alpha Estate from Amyndeon, Florina, Greece
This wine is bright purplish-red in color with complex aromas of forest red berries, leather, and warm spice. It boasts flavors of ripe blackberry, red cherries, and touches of vanilla. It is a full-bodied red with rounded tannins, balanced acidity, and well-integrated wood tones, making it a perfect match for barbecued red meats, shrimp saganaki, and bold cheeses.

Please call the restaurant at 212.333.2000 to order from the wine list.
