By now, you've probably heard of VR (virtual reality). And despite what you may think, it's not just for games - it's also?the best way to experience your 360s, immersing you in your media in a way that hasn't been possible until now.
The good news is that Momento360 enables anyone to view 360s in virtual reality if they have a Google Cardboard viewer or other VR device, with no additional work. You're already ready to go!
Momento360 supports several VR platforms:
Google Cardboard
Samsung GearVR: You can view your Momento360 media on the GearVR in two ways: 1) request access to our native app, or easier yet, 2) use the Oculus mobile Internet browser to visit your account;?our?WebVR?support?enables?you to?enter the?full?VR?experience?right?from the?browser!
Oculus Rift, HTC Vive: Momento360 supports the WebVR standard, so if you have Firefox 55 or later,
you'll be able to go into VR mode,?right?from?within?your?account?on the?web?at?https://momento360.com/
Google Daydream: If you have a version of Chrome with WebVR support, you'll be able to go right into VR mode from https://momento360.com/
Tips: Not just for you, for your recipients too!

Shared a collection? That automatically turns into a slideshow in VR mode (note that video is not supported on mobile devices yet, however).
If you embed a Momento360 item in your website, your visitors will be able to enter VR mode as well.

Thanks for signing up for Momento360! To help you get the most out of it, we'll be sending a handful of tips over the next couple weeks. Apologies if any of this is old hat, we promise you'll learn something new :)
In order to get the most out of Momento360 you'll need to start by uploading one of your own 360s. Once you do that, you'll be able to view your 360s on any devices, create slideshows and albums, share them with others, view them in virtual reality, even embed them on your
own website or blog.
But you can't do any of that without uploading them first :)
Here's how:
Log in to Momento360 (make sure you've verified your email address)
Click/tap the camera icon or navigate to the "My Media" page and tap the "Upload" button
Select the media you want to upload
After the upload finishes, you'll see the thumbnail appear. You're ready to go!
Some things to remember:
All your uploads are always private?- nobody else can view or see them, unless you specifically share them.
Momento360 works not just with 360 photos, but with 360 videos, generated images, drone panoramas, sketches - as long as it is an image in equirectangular projection,?(i.e. 2:1 ratio) we should be able to render it. ?
Some other tips:
If you have many 360s to upload, it's often faster to upload from a laptop or desktop than a mobile device
You can upload multiple files at once, but you make sure the upload completes before you close that browser window.
(Also, if you're still having problems verifying your email address, please contact us at support@momento360.com and we'll help you sort it out!)

Did you know you can use Momento360 to add your 360 media to your own website or blog?
Sharing 360 photos are great, but there are cases where they really are best in giving context: whether on your website, your stories, illustrating a space or a place. Momento360 enables you to put the 360s where they're most useful to you by making it easy to embed a single 360, or a series of 360s with a tiny bit of embed code (or no code, depending on your platform).
Your viewers won't need to do anything different to view the 360s, and they'll be able to view them without a download or signup. They'll even be able to see them in virtual reality if they choose, allowing them to step inside your 360.
We've got straightforward guides on how to do this on platforms like?Medium, Wordpress, Wix, Weebly, Squarespace, Google Sites, Shopify and more.?
If you're using it for business or professional use, you can also?customize the branding by upgrading to a Pro account (optional).
Now your viewers can get the full picture, when it matters!
See how to do it here.

Sometimes you need to group several 360s together, and this is where the power of Collections comes in.
Think of collections like a playlist - it groups several 360s together, allowing you to rearrange them in the way you want, and then all of those 360s can be viewed/sent/shared as one item.
We've seen people use them to:
Share 360s from trips and weddings
Create a virtual tour of a property
Record progress of the same location over time
Collections really shine when combined with share links. Now it's easy to send a single link to someone, instead of a bunch of individual links or files. And again, with Momento360, you don't have to worry about what kind of devices your users have, and they don't need to download or sign up for anything.
Try it out yourself: Here's a collection?of some places around San Francisco:
Collections are easy to create, and easy to share. Watch the overview to see how it's done.
Tips
Collections are "live," so even
after you send the link, you can still make changes and your recipients will see the most recent version.
You can combine photos and videos in the same collection. (Note that video playback is currently not supported on mobile devices, however.)
When viewed with a VR device, collections are turned into a VR slideshow!

One of our most popular features is our "share link" feature. This lets you send your 360s to anyone else to view using the tools you're already using. And you don't have to worry: your recipients can view them on any device (phone/tablet/laptop/desktop) without having to download or sign up for anything.
Try it out yourself;?view this 360 of the Letterman Digital Arts Center in San Francisco: https://momento360.com/e/u/a9b53aa8f8b0403ba7a4e18243aabc66
Use it to:
Send a 360 in email
Send 360s via IM, iMessage, Slack or anything else
Add a 360 to a PDF or other electronic document
Embed a 360 in your own website or blog
Not only does it work with single items, it also works with collections, too! And as a bonus, if some of your recipients have VR viewers, they can view your 360s in virtual reality?- and you don't have to do a thing.
Here's how:
From the
My Media screen, click the item you want to share
Click the "Share" button
From the dropdown that appears, click on "Share or Embed a Link"
Click the "Create Link" button
Tips
Everything on Momento360 is private by default, but remember that anyone with the link can see it (so if you send it via email and that email gets forwarded, the
people who receive the forward can see the link).
You can always deactivate your link (for instance, if you changed your mind, or sent the wrong item). Simply click the "Disable Link" button from the same screen as before.
