3. Freshness is what we do.
The whole reason we started this company was to make super fresh, premium coffee available at home. We roast and ship all our coffee same-day, so you'll get it at the peak of freshness. We usually roast on Tuesdays, so your coffee should arrive by Friday (assuming you're in the continental US).

4. Moustaches are optional.
The name comes from us poking fun at know-it-all baristas, you know the type.
We're serious about great coffee - not snobbery. If you just want to learn more about specialty coffee, we've made some simple how-to's and brew guides. With good beans and some simple steps, your next mug can be delicious.

It's a good week for Guatemalan fans - as the deliciously smooth La Soledad is entering the rotation! There's a lot to love about this coffee from Huehue including chocolate and cherry notes as well as a lovely creamy quality. It's a 100% bourbon lot - so if that's one of your favorites you'll definitely want to add this one to your queue!

Tasting Notes: Grapefruit, Molasses, Tangy

Another week - another coffee joins the club, and this time it's the tangy and tart Gaturiri AB. This coffee comes to us from Nyeri, Kenya - where it was grown by small-holders in the Gaturiri area (named for the Kikuyu word describing "the shrubs" that abound there.) We love its crisp, unique profile, but we were only able to source a single bag - so act quickly to secure some this week!

There's also an encore of our popular Shembati #1 available for the African coffee fans, with some delicious berry notes as well as the peachy keen Miramundo from Esquipulas. Pedregal 2019

Tasting Notes: Berry, Sugar, Dense

We're very happy to welcome beans from Pedregal back into the club! We shipped a lot of beans from Hermes Martinez' Pedregal farm back in 2017 - and we've been remembering it fondly since. This fresh-crop from 2019 is another great success - with juicy berry flavors, sugary sweetness, and some bright lime acidity! We love getting lots from farms that we've seen in past seasons, since it really shows how different crops have their own unique flavor - and it becomes all the more evident that producers like Mr. Martinez are experts at their craft, producing delicious coffees year after year. Add some to your queue this week to check it out!

We're also excited to be rolling out a new decaf this week - this time from Guji with berry brightness and smooth chocolatey flavors. There's also some floral and plum-centered Burundi peaberry headed to roast - as well as some smooth, Guatemalan La Soledad and the sweet, classical flavors of Recolectores. Holiday Schedule 2019

A reminder that we won't be shipping the week of 12/23 - so this coming Saturday at 6PM EST is your last chance to get your orders in for extra coffee before the holidays!

Villa Maria 2019

Tasting Notes: Strawberry, Guava, Chocolate

We're looking forward to a great year of coffee - and there's no better way to kick it off than with the incredibly delicious Villa Maria 2019. (And don't let the year fool you - the '2019' in Villa Maria 2019 refers to the harvest date, it'll be at least a few months before we start seeing any 2020s in the states.) Oscar Olarte is an excellent coffee grower from the Huila region of Colombia, who's been growing tasty Colombia and Castillo beans on his small 3 hectare farm for many years. We featured a lot of his coffee last year, and we've really enjoyed seeing how the flavors have changed in this fresh crop! We're tasting fruity notes of strawberry, guava, and chocolate - if you liked the lot from last year, imagine a bit more berry sweetness built on-top of that lovely and smooth chocolatey base. It's really fun to see how lots change - so add this one to your queue see for yourself!

We've also got some great Nimu Silas for fans of African coffees, as well as the sweet and smooth El Socorro #4 and our juicy Ethiopia Guji Decaf if your New Years Resolution is to pull back a bit on the caffeine. Remember that you can always add coffees to your queue for later, or place an add-on order if you need beans in addition to your subscription.

Los Laurales
Huila, Colombia
Tasting Notes: Blackberry, Cherry, Sugar

Obviously we can't pick favorites - but if we did - Huila would be on our short list of origins, thanks to coffees like this week's Los Laurales. Grown by Hernan Montano and his wife Nancy - this coffee comes from the Magdalena river valley in northern Huila. They grow Colombia and Castillo beans, but this lot is 100% Colombia, exhibiting bright, juicy blackberry flavors and sugar sweetness. This is an archetypical specialty lot from Huila, with a great blend of sweetness and tartness, a bright and bold profile that stands out on a cupping table. We encourage you to give this one a brew by adding some to your queue, or purchasing an add-on order.

We're roasting a bit more Deri Kidame this week - a natural coffee that's been causing quite the buzz amongst club members for its super-sweet berry tastes. As well as a few more coffees - including a Tasting Series Cup of Excellence lot from Colombia called Los Alpes with zippy lime acidity and some chocolate undertones. If you're not a Tasting Series member, you'll have to place an add-on order to try it - only a few weeks left in its roastings schedule!

El Progreso 2019
Huila, Colombia
Tasting Notes: Mandarin Orange, Dense, Sugar

This lot is an exciting new coffee from Ferney Macias in Huila, Colombia. Ferney manages his farm El Progreso (the progress) with his brothers. The operation borders his mother's coffee farm as well, making it a true family affair - and they're all very members of their local cooperative Coocentral. The cooperative provides all sorts of benefits - including cupping facilities and opportunities to learn about new processing techniques, which Ferney has been taking advantage of to experiment with his coffees. This lot was wet processed with bakers yeast during fermentation - and the result is some deliciously juicy orange flavors, coupled with raw sugar sweetness. We love to see producers trying new things - especially when it creates a coffee with such a rich and unique profile - you'll definitely want to give this coffee a try by adding some to your queue, or purchasing an add-on order.

For the Natural fans - don't forget, we have more Deri Kidame roasting this week!

There are plenty of other great coffees hitting the roaster as well, including our tasty natural Deri Kidame to the incredibly plum-and-floral Nimu Silas! New Schedule Tool

We're very happy to announce that the site has received an upgrade that should make planning your shipments much easer - meet the schedule! This new tab in your account allows you to see our inventory for upcoming roast days, make selections for specific days, and opt in and out of shipments. Here's how it works:

Your schedule will automatically be set to "ship" for your subscription days - click the prompt to see the inventory roasting that day and choose your coffee.
You can alter your schedule to be included or opt-out of different roast days by using the "skip/ship" slider.

Why are we changing this?

The old queue system had some flaws, namely when we got down to the last bit of inventory for a coffee, we didn't have enough green to roast for all the people who added it to their queue, which is upsetting for them and us. The problem was that allowing people to add coffee to a queue for up to 8 weeks meant that our coffee was being fragmented over many roast days, some with very little coffee reserved. Moving forward, we are going provide a "menu" of the coffees we will be roasting. You can choose among those options, or allow us to pick based on the feedback you've given us.

The new system also replaces the "skip a week/two week" button. You'll now
be able to manage deliveries for the entire month (and as we bed the
system in we plan to extend to two months of scheduling). This means if you
want to skip a specific week (or all of them) you can do that, and if you want
to add an additional shipment one week, you can do that too. The system should give members more control over which coffees they receive and when.

This new tool comes in handy when we have limited amounts of special coffees - like our upcoming Kenyan AB Karimikui!

AB Karimikui
Kirinyaga, Kenya
Tasting Notes: Cherry, Rose, Lemon

This bright, juicy lot from Kirinyaga, Kenya is a special treat for the club! Processed at the Karimikui Coffee Factory in Kirinyaga, this lot consists of SL28 & SL34 beans grown by small-holder members of the Rungeto Farmers Cooperative Society. The surrounding area mainly produces tea, but we're glad some folks are still producing coffee - because this cup has it all. Bright, juicy cherry notes, soft rose florals, and a zing of lemon adicity. We were only able to pick up a single bag of this coffee - so it will make a brief one-roast appearance on our menu. Use the new scheduler tool to opt-in and receive this coffee the week of 3/2/20! It's a delicious cup you don't want to miss.

La Claudina
Antioqua, Colombia
Tasting Notes: Berry, Plum, Brown Sugar

This coffee comes to us from Antioqua, Colombia - farther north than many of the coffees we've shipped recently. Juan Saldarriaga took over management of his family's two coffee farms, and has been concentrating on increasing quality at the La Claudina farm. This coffee is one of his specialty Caturra lots, processed and dried on-site in a parabolic structure. We can't get enough of this coffee - its tart plum notes and sweet brown sugar flavors balance out nicely to make a coffee that's smooth and warm, perfect for slow sipping. Be sure to select some if you'd like to try it - we only picked up two bags of this one so it won't be around forever!

There's a small amount of El Progreso 2019 roasting this week - an anaerobic coffee that's got a great kick of bright acidity and sweetness. It's also the last week to try our most recent Tasting Series coffee. This Cup of Excellence lot from Colombia is a coffee with a real chocolatey streak and a nice lime note - a clean and crisp brew if you're looking for a treat. Los Alpes is shipping in a 6oz bag for $22 - and if you're not a Tasting Series member, you'll have to place an add-on order to try it. Treat yourself!

Deri Kidame
Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia
Tasting Notes: Berry, Black Tea, Cherry

This coffee is going to be very popular with fans of African coffees - Deri Kidame is a natural-processed coffee from a relatively new farm in Yirgacheffe. The farm's manager, Hagi Elemo, is a 40 year veteran of coffee production and is leading the farm in producing both washed and natural processed coffees with an emphasis on sustainable methods like organic composting and inter-planting. This lot is the first we've featured from them - overflowing with juicy berry and tart cherry flavors, as well as a delicately floral black tea note. It's a complex coffee with a great balance of bright and mellow flavors - it's always great to feature a natural and we're very excited to see how Mr. Elemo's future lots develop! We have a feeling this coffee won't stick around long - so add some to your queue today!

Also headed to the roaster this week is the crowd-favorite Nimu Silas - a peaberry coffee from Burundi, and the new Villa Maria 2019 from Huila with notes of guava and cocoa! For a more mellow experience, we have the smooth and chocolatey La Soledad from Guatemala and our caffeine-less Guji Decaf. We're very excited to highlight our latest Tasting Series coffee - Picorana! This is an incredible lot of beans from Cajamarca, Peru that Sean came across while attending the 2019 Cup of Excellence competition in Jaen, Peru! This lot earned 17th overall with an incredible cup score of 88.17. When Sean first tasted it he knew this lot of Geisha and Caturra was a perfect fit for the Tasting Series with bright raspberry tartness and acidity, sweet cane sugar notes, and a lovely spiced quality. We created the Tasting Series to make rare, competition-winning coffees like this available to try without breaking the bank on a full-sized shipment.

Fazenda Juquinha

Tasting Notes: Floral, Tropical Fruit, Vanilla

The lots Sean tasted in while in Minas Gerais for the APAS cup have arrived - and we're jumping right in with Fazenda Juquinha. This is the coffee that blew Sean away in Brazil - he turned to our import partners at placed an order right there at the cupping table. He was struck by its amazingly fruity profile, with bright tropical notes and aromatic florals. It's a natural-processed coffee produced by the Batista siblings on their 24 hectare farm - and these Yellow Catuai beans pack a serious punch. Brazilian natural coffees don't exhibit as much distinctive "natural" flavor as Ethiopians, so even if you aren't the biggest natural fan we'd recommend scheduling a shipment and giving this coffee a brew. You won't regret it!

This special Kenyan lot is only roasting next week (3/2)
so schedule a shipment if you'd like to brew it at home!

For the African coffee fans, don't forget we have a special treat coming next week with AB Karimikui! This washed Kenyan coffee scored an impressive 88 points from our friends at Nordic Approach - and exhibits a characteristically clean and sharp Kenyan profile with notes of cherry, rose, and lemon. We only picked up a single bag of this coffee - so if you want some you'll need to have a shipment scheduled for 3/2 since we'll only be roasting it once. Don't miss it!

It''s been too long since we''ve featured a great bean from Huila - which is why we''re very excited for the new coffee this week: El Morro! This coffee was produced by Juan Carlos Quesada Maje and his wife Gina Paola - and we mean that literally. Their farm is small enough that pretty much every step of the way from planting to picking to processing, it was their hard work that made this incredible coffee possible. We''re tasting juicy berry tones, along with a sticky-sweet dried fruit flavor that''s extra special - if you''ve been missing Colombian coffee this is the bean for you!

This is another great lot from Antioquia - this time from Jaime Ariza''s La Virgen farm. This lot was grown at a higher altitude than many of the other coffees we''re seeing from Antioquia - but was taken to Juan Saldarriaga''s farm for wet-processing and drying on raised beds. The result is a coffee with a juicy plum note, warm brown sugar sweetness, and a rich, viscous quality that''s perfect for sipping slow. Colombian coffee has so many unique facets and characteristics, and this lot certainly strikes a different tone than the others we''ve featured recently - give it a brew and see what you think!

Ethiopian coffee fans rejoice: it''s time for a fresh washed Ethiopian from West Arsi - Nensebo Refisa! These beans were grown by small-holders and brought together for processing, where they were hand-sorted, washed, and dried on raised-beds for 20 days. The result is a coffee that''s bright and refreshing - with strong stonefruit notes and jasmine-like florals. It''s a coffee that''s light enough to sip on all day, with plenty of flavor to keep it things interesting brew after brew. Add some to your shipment schedule this week, and get excited!

Start your November off with a delicious brew from Yirgacheffe! Worka is a wonderful coffee named after the Worka Cooperative that produced it. Many great coffees from Ethiopia come from cooperatives, which are a way for people who have a few coffee plants on their land or who harvest coffee growing wild near them to pool those beans together and produce a lot large enough for export. As such, lots like Worka really represent the local area around the washing station where the coffee was produced in a unique way. We''re getting juicy peach sweetness and warm brown sugar - a great profile to enjoy as autumn turns.

Very happy to have another El Socorro lot roasting this week - this coffee is a juicy and well-balance washed Red Bourbon. There''s some debate among folks in the coffee industry if there''s really a flavor difference between red and yellow bourbons, and some producers decide to grow and process them together. Juan Diego de la Cerda and his crew at El Socorro keep their bourbon lots separate, which means this delicious cherry-tasting brew came from only plants with red coffee cherries. With a coffee this good, we don''t think they should change a thing.

It''s here - the Kenyan coffee we''ve all been waiting for: AB Karimikui! This washed 88-point lot of SL28 and SL34 comes from the Rungeto Farmers Cooperative Society in Kirinyaga, Kenya. These producers are serious about quality in even the smallest details - piping the purest water from Mt. Kenya to the station and tiling every water channel and fermentation tank. That dedication to excellence results in a coffee with outstanding clarity of flavor: tart cherry sweetness, rose-like floral notes, and a delicious lemon acidity.

We only picked up one bag of this coffee, and we''re planning on roasting all of it this week - check out your schedule and make sure you''ve selected it if you''d like to give this extra-special coffee a brew!

The chocolatey, smooth El Diamante is also roasting this week

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE UPDATE:

Shipping volumes are expected to increase heavily headed into the holidays. We''re working with the USPS to route our shipments as quickly as we can - but we highly recommend double-checking your schedule and adding a shipment or two in the coming week if your coffee supply is low heading into the holiday week. Postal delays are possible - and we''d hate for you to be coffee-less on Christmas!

On that note, we''ll be closed on Christmas day so the team can enjoy the holiday at home - to accommodate we''ve moved 12/25''s roast day earlier in the week to 12/21.

This week we''re keeping the delicious Ethiopians coming from our friends at CCS with a light, floral lot from the Raro washing station in Guji. Another community lot from local small-holders, this crop of Kurume and Dega coffees was brought together for processing and dried on raised beds for 20 days. We''re having a blast tasting the difference between these Ethiopian lots - Raro Lot 3 seems to trade the stone fruit notes for a more earthy, robust flavor and acidity that plays well with the florals. It''s a coffee we''re very excited about, and we hope you are too!

Chelbesa Lot 4
Gedeb, Ethiopia
Tasting Notes: Orange, Cocoa, Caramel

We''re keeping the delicious Ethiopians coming this week with Chelbesa Lot 4! This washed lot of Dega and Wolisho was grown by small-holders in Gedeb and processed together at a washing station managed by SNAP coffee. Dried on raised beds and hand-sorted throughout processing, Chelbesa Lot 4 has a smooth, even flavor profile with notes of orange and cocoa - a bit more subdued than some of the more floral Ethiopians, this coffee still packs plenty of sweetness and depth into the brew. This week''s delicious coffee comes to us from Rwanda by way of our friends at Sustainable Harvest - and it''s a great bean with a great story. The Gashonga cooperative in Western Rwanda is a progressive, woman-led growers coop founded in 2009 focused on expanding resources and opportunities for Rwandan coffee growers. Their output has been increasingly high-quality coffee - netting them a 7th place finish in the 2015 Cup of Excellence, and many outstanding lots like this week''s bean with zesty orange and chocolate notes, blending with caramel sweetness. It makes for a rich, tasty brew that you''ll want to savor - schedule a shipment to see what we mean!

Tasting Notes: Cherry, Apple, Cane Sugar

This week''s coffee comes to us from members of the Aprocassi cooperative, a group founded in Cajamarca, Peru in 2000 to represent coffee producers and protect the environment so that coffee can thrive. They''re obviously doing a good job - because based on flavor this lot of coffee is certainly thriving! We cupped notes of juicy cherry and crisp apple - both of which play on a base of cane sugar sweetness that makes this cup a real treat. We''ve been loving the last few coffees from Peru, which remind us of Sean''s recent trip to Jaen for the Cup of Excellence. Plenty of great stuff going on there, we''re looking forward to expanding offerings from Peru even more in the future!

Orange, Chocolate, & Caramel notes from Gashonga!

Other coffees on the rotation include some more El Limonar with rich notes of dried fruit and honey, and a reprise of the orange-and-chocolate Gashonga from Rwanda. It''s always a good time to do some taste testing - use your schedule tool to add an extra bag - and cup a few coffees side-by-side!

We''re looking at big-time African coffee tastes this coming week with our first roasts of Deri Kojowa from SNAP Coffee in Guji! This washed Ethiopian lot was processed near the town of Deri Kidame where a few of our other favorite Ethiopian coffees have come from, and it''s similarly bursting with stone fruit flavors and smooth honey sweetness. These coffees tend to be popular with the club, so be sure to select some for your upcoming roast day if you''d like it - you don''t want to miss out!

We''re super excited to be roasting Adriana de Barros Rodrigues''s APAS Cup-winning lot from Sao Francisco this week! Sean first got to taste this cup during his trip to Brazil for the APAS cup - we enjoyed a lot of the coffees from that trip and booked several, but this was the show-stopper by far. A lot with bright, sharp citrus notes and a light grape flavors - it brews of the more energetic cups we''ve had in recent memory. This is our final Brazilian Natural from this crop - and we don''t want to say we''ve saved the best for last but... this coffee is really good. Add some to your schedule and enjoy a brew this week!

It''s an extra special week at MCC with this limited release from Finca El Injerto! The Aguirres run a very tight ship, producing a range of incredible coffees and performing all sorts of intensive processes and experiments to unlock new flavors. The lot we selected for the club is a double-fermented yellow nance - the sort of thing you can only get from Finca El Injerto. The double fermentation makes for a bright and unique cup with notes of peach and cinnamon, a surprisingly good balance of sweet, spice, and acidity. We only picked up 2 bags of this coffee for the club - so this is one you''ll definitely want to schedule if it''s caught your eye!

If you''ve enjoyed coffees from El Socorro in the past - this is your heads up! We only picked up one bag of this deliciously creamy El Socorro Pacamara and it''s roasting this week. Pacamara is a distinctive varietal, recognizable by its smooth, rich cup profile and its oversized beans. (It''s derived from Pacas and Maragogype, which is where that size comes from). When we cupped this lot, it stood out even among other El Socorro coffees for how creamy and mellow the cup was, with a really nice apricot note. This coffee is another fantastic example of Juan Diego De La Cerda''s coffee producing expertise, and we''re excited to roast it for you!

Tasting Series: Ninco Pink Bourbon

Super happy to announce November''s Tasting Series coffee: Ninco Pink Bourbon! This special rosado lot was grown by Faver & Angela Ninco on their farm Finca Costa Rica in Huila, Colombia. It''s been a while since we''ve featured a pink bourbon lot, and this one doesn''t disappoint with juicy peach sweetness throughout the cup and a lovely lingering floral note that''s filling my kitchen as I type this email. Pink Bourbon is a fairly rare, natural mutation of the Bourbon varietal that is known for its eponymous pink cherries and extra sweet, floral cup - qualities that Ninco Pink Bourbon delivers on in a big way.

This coffee is already roasted and en-route for Tasting Series members, but we have some extra and wanted the rest of the club to have a chance to try this delicious, extra-special lot. Shipments are $22 for 6oz (a great deal for Pink Bourbon) and will be roasting on Wednesday. If you''re looking for a special treat for the holiday weekend, this is for you!

We''re keeping it in the family this week by roasting Familia Garcia - a great coffee from Minas Gerais, Brazil. It''s a joint effort between Andre Garcia (who owns Finca Jaguara) and his father Antonio. The coffee is grown on Antonio''s land and Andre helps with managing operations and production. Coffee production is frequently passed down from parents to their children, and it''s great to see two generations working together to produce delicious beans! This coffee presented some tasty stonefruit notes and lemony acidity when it cupped at origin, and we''re happy to have those vibrant flavors available here in the states!

We''re very excited to be roasting Nossa Senhora do Carmo this week - another bright and exciting coffee from Brazil. This is one of the coffees we picked up as a result of Sean''s trip to the APAS Cup - where it really stood out for its citrusy notes (Sean wrote "LIME" in all caps on his score sheet). These bourbon beans come from plants that were started in 2000 when Veronica Arantes de Deus Neto planted her Nossa Senhora do Carmo farm - and have developed some really bright and exciting flavors of lime, cherry, and sugar-sweetness. This week''s coffee is a delicious, smooth and rich coffee from the La Coipa district in Cajamarca, Peru. Sumac Warmi is named in the local indigenous language and means "beautiful women" - a nod to the 32 female member farmers whose beans were selected for this lot meant to highlight the contributions of women to the Union y Fe cooperative, established in 2014. The coffee has a wonderfully rich and smooth flavor profile of red grape and cocoa, with some spiced cinnamon notes that make for a very unique and enjoyable brewing experience. Check it out!

This delicious coffee comes to us from the Martinez family, who have been producing smooth and delicious coffees in the Hoja Blanca area of Huehuetenango since 1958. This particular lot is 100% Pacamara - a varietal that''s a cross between Pacas and Maragogipe, notable for its very large beans and incredible cup quality when farmed and processed well. And the Martinez family are definitely farming and processing these beans well - leading to a delicious cup with smooth, warm notes of Berry, Cocoa, and Caramel. This week we''re debuting another Guatemalan coffee from Huehue - this time the sweet and tart Los Cedros! This coffee was grown by Otto Herrera on his La Esperanza farm - the name "Los Cedros" refers to the specific plot of land where these beans were grown, near some cedars on the property. Otto is something of a legend in Huehue with over 25 years of experience and a well-built-out operation. They''re serious about lot separation at La Esperanza - and they have both covered and open-air drying patios so that they can us specific processing methods for certain lots to get the best flavors out of each lot. In the case of Los Cedros - those flavors are tart cranberry and smooth vanilla, a coffee that''s equal parts upbeat and mellow. It makes for a unique brewing experience - a coffee that''s both wild and refined, and 100% delicious. Schedule some for this upcoming week - we only have 1 bag and we don''t expect it to last too long.

Hello Everyone,

We know the last few days have brought a lot of uncertainty, so we wanted to let our members past and present know the status of MCC. We''ve added some additional precautions to our already rigorous production process and we''re following all governmental guidance closely. Given the nature of our business, we''re uniquely equipped to provide excellent, freshly-roasted coffee directly to homes - so that is what we''ll continue to do. Just so you''re aware:

Our weekly schedule remains in place. On Mondays, we''ll be roasting-and-shipping same-day via USPS. Your coffees will still be arriving 2-3 days after roast in the continental US, ready to brew and enjoy at peak freshness.
We''ll still be roasting a new coffee every week. We''re currently well-stocked at the roastery - meaning you''ll still enjoy a variety of single-origin beans from unique regions around the world, no matter which subscription plan you''re on. Hopefully, a new coffee can be a small thing to look forward to in the coming weeks - we have some great ones lined up.
Our new tools give you added flexibility to manage shipments. If you find your coffee consumption changes while you''re home - you can use the new scheduler tool to opt-in and opt-out of weekly shipments, add additional shipments if you need them, and select which available coffees head your way. (If you''re a returning member, you''ll want to make sure your preferences and shipping information are updated in your account.)

We''ll be online at contact@moustachecoffeeclub.com to help with any subscription changes and to answer any and all coffee-related questions. We have a lot of experience making great coffee at home - and we''d love to help you make the most of your brews while we''re all spending a little more time in our own kitchens.

Hello Friends,

For the next few weeks, we''ll be reverting back to our previous packaging of foil bags & cardboard boxes for all 12oz shipments. This is a temporary change, and we wanted to explain a bit of the rationale behind it.

We''re very happy with the new vacuum-sealed pouches and appreciate the enthusiastic response - but we have been experiencing some sporadic issues with the outer mailer, resulting in delayed deliveries, additional postage and other postal problems for a small portion of our members. We''ve listened to your feedback and are taking appropriate steps. In order to find a solution that works for everyone in the club - we''re re-designing the mailer and are taking the opportunity to incorporate some other pieces of feedback about the packaging design.

In the meantime, in order to ensure that everyone receives their shipments in a timely fashion, we''ll be returning to our previous bright yellow bags & cardboard boxes for 12oz shipments while we get the new mailer worked up. This should ensure deliveries go smoothly will also mean that tracking will be back online for everyone - two things we feel will help keep the beans flowing in uncertain times.

This week''s new coffee is a Colombian Natural from Antioquia that''s dazzlingly bright and sweet. This coffee comes to us from Juan Saldarriaga, an expert producer in Antioquia that''s taking processing to new levels with technology. Many producers have trouble getting naturals dried to exacting standards due to the humidity - but he''s invested in a cold drier to experiment with processing naturals. (Our friends at Nordic Approach have made a video about the process). We think it''s a really great idea - especially if it produces coffees like this one that are so bright, sweet, and fruity! If you''re a fan on Colombian coffees, or a fan of Natural coffees - this is definitely a must-brew. Schedule your shipment today!

We thought we were going to run out last week, but we ended up with enough for a small batch and we certainly aren''t going to let it go to waste!
