Hello Omnivores!
“It’s the Singer and the Song Sale!”
Here at Omnivore, we try to offer a bit of everything for every musical taste. Whether it’s power pop, country, jazz, comedy, and even children’s music with our new Mister Rogers titles—we like to keep the buffet full and sometimes surprising, hoping you’ll take a chance every now and then, to widen your musical soundscape when you’re feeling adventurous.
Over the course of our 10 years in operation, we’ve released a number of titles from artists that fall into what’s commonly considered the Singer-Songwriter bucket. Music that’s focused on great lyrics to accompany its equally wonderful music. So, from January 29 to February 2, we’re offering selected titles from our catalog on both CD and LP at incredible discounts. From the old guard to the new kids, we’ve got you covered.
Whether it’s Tim Buckley or anti-folk innovator Cindy Lee Berryhill. Maybe original Fairport Convention vocalist Iain Matthews or Chicago-area staple and “City Of New Orleans” writer Steve Goodman. If Terry Jones’ passing saddened you, as it did us, the theme from fellow Python Terry Gilliam’s Brazil is on Geoff & Maria Muldaur’s Pottery Pie. (Yeah, the one used throughout the film!) Peter Case to Dave Van Ronk to Bert Jansch to a meal at Alice’s Restaurant with Arlo Guthrie—they're all here. And on sale.
This is the time to dip your toes into the water of a wide array of artists, all masters at their craft. Please remember not to add pre-orders to your cart, as that will delay your shipment, and you will lose the discount. Quantities are limited to stock on hand, so dig deep, but dig fast.
