Well, we know everyone gives a % about some things. So we started One Percent Collective to make it really easy to support our charities out there fighting for those causes, whatever they are. That way, they get the regular funding they need to make great things happen, and you can relax knowing you're a part of it. We also wanted to build a stronger connection between those giving money and the impact that they have.
In just 3 steps, we’ll explain how we roll.
Step 1. Kiwi-based charities: There are so many incredible charities working hard to make our world a better place, but sometimes the smaller more local ones go unnoticed. Our talented board of trustees vet and select some of the best Kiwi-based charities out there, then you choose to share your regular donation between as many of them as you like, and thanks to a crew of wonderful corporates and private supporters, we pass on 100% of your donations. Yep that’s right, we have one account for your donations to your charities and one account for running our own charitable trust!
Step 2. Make it rewarding: Let’s face it, while generosity doesn’t really need any rewards, sometimes it's not the best feeling giving to a cause and never hearing about the impact you had. So we work with our partner charities to write and share regular stories on the impact your 1% has, and produce The Generosity Journal. We also want people giving their 1% to have a chance to meet the people running the charities they support and see how it all works in person, so as often as possible, we hold events with our partner charities where supporters can get together and meet the good people running those charities they support.
