You will enjoy holiday performances by Blue Boy Band, Solo Selection, and Ashanti Cultural Art Dancers. Watch as locations throughout the City light-up and even see a live virtual fireworks display!

Visitors will also find hand-made crafts, art and culinary products at the Market. Each Green Market date will have a different theme, creating unique and exciting experience every time you visit!

On opening day, November 28, the market will feature the traditional Annual Green Market Pompano Beach Ribbon Cutting ceremony at 10 am. Yoga on the Lawn, led by Samantha Marcum, will take place from 10 - 11 am and unique shopping can be enjoyed throughout the event while you are entertained by the music of DJ Trish. Masks, social distancing and one-way foot traffic will be required. There will be hand washing stations and designated eating areas for patron safety.

FREE Covid-19 Testing. No appointment necessary. Walk-up testing.

Did you miss the Pompano Beach CRA virtual meeting? 
The Pompano Beach CRA invited Randy Hollingworth, Director of Landscape Architecture, Planning and Urban Design from the firm Bermello, Ajamil and Partners (B&A) to give a special presentation. He explored potential concepts generally found in botanical gardens and the upcoming planning process for the McNab House & Botanical Garden project.

 

The Pompano Beach CRA is proud to announce that the Atlantic Boulevard Bridge Enhancement is the 2020 winner of the Best Transportation Transit Enhancement category at the annual Florida Redevelopment Association (FRA) Awards, which were bestowed on November 19, 2020.

 
Focused on creating a sense of community and adding art elements to the transportation in Pompano Beach, the Pompano Beach CRA developed a bridge that would serve as a landmark as well as a sense of place and destination whether traveling by land or water. This project serves multi-functional uses with its nautical-themed infrastructure. Elements included in the enhancement include grand bridge entrances, repurposed pedestrian walkways, and tender house facade improvements. It is now a symbolic welcome for residents and visitors.

To ensure our Pompano Beach businesses continue to thrive during these uncertain times, the Pompano Beach CRA, along with participating restaurants, have created the Love Always Pompano promotion for visitors and locals to enjoy. The all-encompassing annual program features local businesses located in the East CRA District, sharing special offers and experiences to attract residents and non-residents alike.
 
The campaign kicks off with Sunset Sips, showcasing promotions from local restaurants. Following this launch, Shop Pompano and Play Pompano campaigns will debut. Capturing the signature style of the area, discover exiting special and engaging experiences, all while enjoying the best of our city.

The 58th Annual Greater Pompano Beach Holiday Boat Parade, hosted by the Greater Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce and sponsors, will take place on Friday, December 11th from 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm. 

This year's parade theme will be a salute to First Responders and Essential Workers. The boat parade will light-up the Intracoastal Waterway while heading north from Lake Santa Barbara, with 50-75 festivity decorated boats. It will be a wonderful night out for friends and family to enjoy the tropical festive sights of this long-time Pompano Beach holiday event.

Pompano Beach Fire Rescue has joined A&E's live documentary series, "Live Rescue". "Live Rescue" airs on A&E on Fridays from 9:00 p.m. until midnight.

"Live Rescue" follows EMTs, paramedics and fire fighters across the country as they bravely put their lives on the line responding to emergency rescue calls. Camera crews from "Live Rescue" will be following Pompano Beach Fire Rescue day and night as they respond to emergency calls.

Pompano Beach Fire Rescue is an ISO Class 1 rated, accredited Fire Department with 250 personnel that respond to approximately 30,000 emergency incidents per year.

Exit 36 Slam Poetry Festival is a three-day, virtual poetry festival that seeks to serve the community through educational, theatrical, and literary performances. The festival will nurture, support, and showcase regional, national, and international writers, facilitators, and artist from all over the country to honor the creative genius of our own cultural arts pioneers. The festival includes writing workshops, artists'' talks, and the Slam Poetry competition. In its third year, the objectives remain the same to pay homage to poetry, spoken word, literacy, community engagement, and to celebrate the arts.
