The hope we receive from this verse is abundant life giving, and makes us think of our 4 little children.

"Mom!" "Dad!" They call for us, completely trusting that we will hear them. And we come. Most of the time. ;)

Sometimes they have exciting news to tell. Sometimes they have something to ask. Other times they have a question they want to ask, or they just want to be near us and snuggle.

Bella asks, "Wanna 'nuggle?'" and there's nothing like spending some cuddle time with our little ones.

And, it dawned on us... if we love spending time "nuggling" with our kids, then how much more is our Father in heaven glad when go out of our way to spend time with Him?

Seeking God for the Answer

You see, we have found that people that regularly draw near to God and call on Him in prayer, Bible meditation, and worship put themselves in the ideal position to hear and receive the answers that they are looking for in life - and this is the key if you're seeking Him for wisdom on how to approach health issues.

We hope your Thanksgiving weekend has been a marvelous time - happy and healthy.

As we shift from one family holiday to another and begin our countdowns to CHRISTmas, it is a fitting reminder to remember that Jesus came to bring us peace. The angels who declared His arrival spoke peace to us all.

And later, Jesus Himself told us "Peace I with you, My peace I give unto you..." (John 14:27). And when we experience the peace of God we truly know it's "not as the world gives" because it is divine in strength. It is stronger than anything we can conjure on our own.

Far too often the stress of the busy schedules, crazy long to-do lists, and get-together expectations of the holiday season creates emotional chaos. That's NOT what God wants for you. But how can we tap into His peace when we just aren't feeling it?

Pray. That is absolutely essential for tuning out the world and it's distractions to better hear what God has to tell you. After all, peace is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit so when we ask Him for help during times of anxiety, He will answer us with peace only He can bring.

We needed that divine peace ourselves many times throughout our busy year. We couldn't have done so much without God's help.

As we head into the holiday devoted to giving thanks, we recognize that for many, it can be a time of added stress. But this is exactly the opposite of what God calls us to.

This is why we count emotional and spiritual health as part of our seven keys for abundant living and biblical health. If you are living without gratitude, without peace, you are not thriving. That's the bottom line.

How can we look past all the elements in our life that distract, overwhelm, or upset us to find that place? The clue is in this verse - "let the peace of Christ".

It is the peace of Christ that we allow to rule our hearts. The Bible says that this peace passes all understanding. It is a truly supernatural strength that helps us beyond our own human emotions. #PraiseGod

Remove worry and anxiety from your hearts, replacing them with peace and gratitude, and see what abundance the Lord will bring to you through the upcoming holidays.

What happens to those other worries and concerns we were experiencing? We can "cast them upon the Lord". Detoxing our lives is as much a mental and emotional act as it is a physical act.

• 15 to 20 drops lemon essential oil
• Precut organic cotton pad
• Aromatherapy inhaler

DIRECTIONS

1. Place a cotton pad in the inhaler tube.

NEW Essential Oils Apothecary Tip

Importance of Carrier Oils

This week, let’s talk about Thinking Safety First...

Your skin soaks up chemicals like a sponge, so you need to be extremely careful about what you put on it. (The same goes for what you put in your body.)

Trust us, friends don’t let friends use essential oils neat. As a general rule of thumb, you will use three drops of essential oils to each tablespoon of carrier oil in topical applications. If you have particularly sensitive skin, you might want to start with half that much essential oils.

Even though essential oils are bioactive compounds, these highly concentrated ingredients can interact with your skin, possibly causing an allergic response or contact dermatitis (also known as sensitization).

This is not to scare you away from using essential oils. They are actually at the bottom of the list of chemicals that can cause reactions with overexposure. Believe it or not, it is safer to use essential oils than to plunge into a chlorinated swimming pool!Still, your body is not designed to have these oils slathered on “neat.” Rather, you need to dilute them with what is called a carrier oil.

Carrier oils are fatty extracts, usually cold-pressed from such sources as almonds, olives, and coconuts, that make an excellent medium to disperse the more concentrated essential oil across your skin. Unlike essential oils, carrier oils are nutritive. They also have healing properties of their own, such as being soothing and anti-inflammatory.

Sin is a profound problem for all of us. The Bible says, "all have sinned and fall short" and boy do we feel that sometimes.

Sin is the exact opposite of life and separates us from God. Praise God, Jesus came to earth to set us loose from bondage of sin and bring us salvation. Hallelujah!

But God not only saves us from sin, He empowers us to overcome our sinful nature each day. The Psalmist reminds us that God's word is our secret weapon to fight against sin.

This past week has been a bit rough at the Z House... after a wonderful trip to see family for Thanksgiving, we come home to a flooded basement because of a plumping issue we didn't know about. This is a HUGE mess and we need to replace the floor, cabinets and so much stuff. #truestory

Please keep us in your prayers that everything gets cleaned up and fixed properly - especially because our last home had frequent floods due to a cracked foundation and we dealt with black mold. It was bad: allergies, pneumonia, frequent headaches, the whole gamut.

Last week, bacteria and black mold were uncovered under the floor boards, and we immediately went high alert because the air quality in our home instantly became contaminated as the water restoration company started to rip out floor boards and molding.

But what about 5G?

Have you heard of it?

The waves are higher frequency and penetrate further than anything we've seen so far. What are the implications of wide-spread use of unproven, untested technology? The truth is: We. Don't. Know.

Diligent Plans for Abundance

"The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance."

~ Proverbs 21:5

We talk often about the abundant life promised in John and the seven areas where we see that abundance walked out: spiritual, mental, physical, emotional, occupational, social and financial health.

This is the time of year when people set goals for the coming year. And this is admirable but far too often something vital is left out of the planning stage.

To help you make plans for the New Year, the Bible says there is one thing we need in order to experience abundance: diligence.

Dictionary.com defines diligence as: "constant and earnest effort to accomplish what is undertaken; persistent exertion of body or mind." This certainly speaks to our family with our 5P's (Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance) motto.

We take this seriously too! It's one thing to KNOW what we should do, but results come when we DO the things we know we should do.

How can develop a spirit of diligence in your life? Some tips that have helped us include:

1. Journaling through your journey. As you see God faithfully rewarding your diligence it will inspire and encourage your next steps.
2. Create your plan wisely. Pray over it. And remember a good plan leads to a better outcome. :)
3. Use tools. Set reminders, build accountability in for things you know may be tough to overcome, and track your progress.
4. PRAY! God rewards the faithful so loop Him into your planning process and ask Him to guide you to diligently accomplish the things you set out to do this year.

When it comes to your health, you don't have to wait for something like a cancer diagnosis to awaken you to the importance of clean air, water and food. You can take practical actions today to be diligent to honor the gift God gave you in the body you have...
