Great news, yesterday we were selected as a winner of New York Times columnist Nick Kristof's inaugural Holiday Impact Prize!
We are grateful to Kristof for honoring us as we approach #GivingTuesday. As many of our supporters know, Kristof's journalism and advocacy has had an immense impact around the globe--and on Reach Out and Read.
Two years ago, we set an ambitious goal of reaching 5 million children--about a quarter of the children under age 5 in the U.S.--by 2021. This award will make a tremendous difference in our ability to reach that goal. Moreover, we plan to use this prize to continue our research on the ways that children grow, learn, and thrive, and how we can best support their healthy development. This prize will also help us create additional content for the clinicians that help to deliver our model every day.
So, as we receive this award, we want to personally thank you for being a major part of our vision and investing your support and time in our work.
This Holiday Impact Prize has given us incredible momentum, but we can’t do this without your help. Can you add your name to all those making an impact this holiday season?

Like you, we believe all families should have the tools and information they need to make reading aloud a daily routine – so that every child, everywhere has a foundation for success. With a $30 gift, you help us ensure a child receives a full year of Reach Out and Read, including a brand-new book and literacy advice for the family, plus you move us closer to our goal of serving 5 million children.
Thank you for believing in Reach Out and Read. After receiving this prize we are as inspired, hopeful, and energized to do this work as we were on day one--30 years ago.
