GETTING STARTED

Getting started is easy with MyNewsletterBuilder. Login with your username and password.

1. Add email addresses to your account by navigating to My Subscribers > Add Subscribers. A “General Category” has been created for you. For special lists, you can create additional Subscriber Categories (email lists) by typing a Name and clicking the New Category button. If you have your own opt-in newsletter subscribers from another service, you can add these subscribers to a new category using any of the four methods provided.

2. Create an email newsletter by navigating to Home or My Newsletters and click the green Create Newsletter button or the blue Create Audio/Video button…

You will see approximately 100 template options including email newsletter templates built for audio-video email content.

Click on a template image to see an example newsletter created using each template. You will be able to add colors, text, and images to any template you select.

Once you have selected a template, follow the on-screen directions and click Next to save and continue. Click the Preview button in the Content Editor as you work to see your results and email yourself preview copies of your newsletter.

When your newsletter is ready to send, click Done under the last step, Review. This will return you to My Newsletters > Newsletter Drafts. Click the Preview icon

next to your saved newsletter to double-check your work before Sending.

3. Send your email newsletter by navigating to My Newsletters > Newsletter Drafts and click the Send button next to your saved newsletter. Choose your Scheduling Options, select your Subscriber Categories, and click the Schedule button. Use Smart Send to avoid Internet Gridlock during high traffic periods.

4. Track your newsletter open rates, click rates, and other statistics in real time through My Reports > Newsletters. You will receive an email notice when your newsletter has been sent and your newsletter will be moved to My Newsletters > Sent Newsletters.

5. Publish your newsletter by navigating to My Newsletters > All Newsletters and clicking the Publish icon Publish

next to your newsletter.

GROW YOUR EMAIL LIST ON YOUR PROFILE AND WEB PAGES

To allow visitors to your online profiles and websites to join your email lists, you’ll want to add an HTML Signup Box to each page. This is one of the best ways to build your long-term subscriber lists and online traffic, turning casual website and profile visitors into returning customers by collecting email addresses and allowing you to deliver the best of the web directly to subscribers’ in-boxes using MyNewsletterBuilder’s rich content tools.

You can build the HTML code for an HTML Signup Box instantly by clicking on the blue Create Signup Box button featured under My Quick Links when you log in to your account.

Copy the HTML code you generate in the Signup Builder. Paste this HTML code into your online profiles and web pages or send this HTML code to the person who maintains your web pages and online profile pages.

Let someone win! Some tactics for subscriber engagement. Read this before you send!

Step 1: Creating Your Newsletter

Creating your newsletter is simple with MNB�s drag-and-drop, what-you-see-is-what-you-get style graphic editor. No design experience necessary! Trust me on that one.

1. Log in to your account.

2. From your dashboard, click "Build Newsletter". You can also click on "Newsletters" from the navigation and then select "Build Newsletter."

3. You have two ways to create your newsletter: Genie (ever so simple, drag and drop editor) or using the Advanced HTML editor (for html experts). If you select Genie (and you should), go to Step 4. If you go Advanced, skip on down to 6.

4. Use the left menu to navigate through single, two, and three column layouts. Select the layout you want.

5. Again, using the left menu, select a style group and then the template style you want. You can customize this later, don't worry.

6. Next, give your newsletter a name (so you can find it in our system) and subject line. If you want to add some pre-header content, click on "Options", otherwise you can skip right to building your newsletter but clicking on "Build".

7. Add your text and upload images, video or audio to create the newsletter you want. Be sure to save and review when you�re finished!

Step 2: Uploading Your Contacts

Before you can send, you�ll need to upload your email contacts to your account. Don't worry, it's easy!

1. Log in to your MNB account and Click (or hover) on �Subscribers� at the top of your landing page.

2. Create a new subscriber list by clicking on "Create List" - yes, we make it that obvious.

3. Type in a list name and description (optional) and complete the other two options: default list and whether or not to show this list on your MNB-hosted subscriber forms. The click "Create List" to do the heavy lifting.

4. From here you can either "Import" a CSV file directly to that list by clicking on the "Import" from the left navigation or click on "Add a Subscriber" - to the right of the list name.

5. The Add a Subscriber feature allows you to type in individual email addresses (one at a time) or to type in a short list of addresses and add up to 250 at a time.

Step 3: Sending Your Email

Congratulations, you're ready to send your email!

Log in to your MNB account and Click on �Newsletters� at the top of your landing page.

Locate the newsletter you want to send.

Look to the right of your newsletter and click the send link for that newsletter - that was easy.

There are two sending methods: 1) smart send and 2) manual send. Smart-send sends the newsletter as quickly as possible on the day you specify for "scheduled" (as quickly as possible starts at 12:01 ET on the scheduled day). Manual send allows you to pick a day and time to send the newsletter.

On the right, select the group(s) of contacts you want your email to go to.

Optional:
- Send only to confirmed subscribers (double-opt-in)
- Send this newsletter to Facebook (posts the newsletter to your facebook timeline or walls as selected)

Click send.

You will be redirected to a confirmation page that will give you information about the email you�ve sent, and give you options for rescheduling your send.

Step 4: Understanding Your Reports

After you send an email, you can see who opened your email and who clicked on any links you included. This helps you measure your success with email marketing, and gives you the ability to create more subscriber lists � based on the actions of subscribers.

For example, if you send a newsletter with two different types of products, you can create a new subscriber list for product A and a new subscriber list for product B, knowing that these individuals are interested in products A and B, respectively.

To view your reports:
Log in to your account and click on �Reports.�

The landing page will show you the most recent newsletters you've sent and give you a quick overview on your opens and clicks.

Click on the Newsletter Name to get a very complete view of the metrics which also includes bounces, complaints, browser use, operating system use, and geo-location.

You can click on any blue metric to view the complete list by email address (open, clicks, bounces, subscribes, unsubscribes, etc).

Extra Tip: Give People a Reason

Email addresses are hot commodities and people are understandably reluctant to part ways with their treasured address.

Have no fear! Just give people a good reason to give you their email address. Offer something for free. Consider tutorials, eBooks, gifts, or a drool-worthy giveaway. The email is highly valuable to you, so don't worry about giving a little away to create a long-term customer.

It's Easier than You Think

Having a sign up form on your website is one of the easiest ways to add to your email subscriber list. Adding this box is simple; we�ve done all the programming for you:

Log in to your account and click on �Subscribers� in the main menu. Click on the �Forms" button in the top left section.

MNB provides three types of sign-up forms. The first group of options in the left menu cover all forms that are physically hosted on our servers. With "Preferences" selected under Hosted Forms, there are five tabs on the right-side you can adjust to fully customize your hosted subscriber process.

Two other options for sign-ups are available and rely on you copying HTML To your site or installing an app on your Facebook page. These two options are under "Other Forms".

We also highly recommend using SumoMe's ListBuilder plugin. It integrates directly to your MNB account and, in our humble opinion, is the best address collector on the market.
