Virtual tours, Christmas shopping and a cuppa with the crew
|
|
You're always welcome in our house
|
Hi Renee,
As the nights draw in, and it gets cold out, many of us are starting to look forward to the hope of the Christmas season - and, even though this year might look different, we want it to feel as special as possible, together as a crew. Wherever you are, and whoever you can be with, we hope you know you're always part of our family.
So let's get started on the celebrations. Whether you fancy taking a virtual trip aboard a lifeboat, through the shops for some Christmas shopping, or to see your lifesaving family for a cuppa and a chat, come on in! It's always great to see you.

A family's rescue - in their own words
|
Earlier this summer, a family of three headed out for a day on the beach with their paddleboards and kayak. They were well prepared as they headed out onto the water - but, within moments, the conditions quickly changed.
''A seal popped up. And I was pretty sure I'd heard that seals can detect when people are in danger.'' Here, they share their experience of what happened next, and how your support helped bring them to safety.

Step aboard an inshore lifeboat
|
Moved by the family rescue story above? Why not dive into an extra chapter by taking a virtual lifeboat tour of a D class lifeboat, just like Cleethorpes RNLI's James Burgess II. Get up close to the navigation system, explore around the engine and even discover why inshore lifeboats have a unique number printed on their side!

Countdown to Christmas
|
Give someone special a gift they'll love this December and watch them unbox a festive jigsaw puzzle every day with this Around the World Advent Calendar from RNLI Shop.
This beautiful, gold-foiled box holds 22 different jigsaws illustrating Christmas traditions from around the world, from surfing Santas in Australia to traditional festive markets in Europe - and each puzzle takes the magical shape of a Christmas tree, snowman, bauble or stocking!
When you buy from RNLI Shop, a gift for your loved one will also be a gift for our volunteer crews, as every purchase you make will help to save lives at sea this season.

Fancy a cuppa with Clifden RNLI this morning?
|
While many of us can''t see our families as much as we''d like to, we hope you know that we''re always here - so let''s put the kettle on and get to know each other! We're inviting you to join us for an online cup of tea with brothers, and Clifden crew members, John and James at 10.30am today, Friday 23 October, on Facebook Live. They''ll be sharing how you can Launch a Memory by adding a loved one''s name to the side of their new lifeboat.
Can''t make it? Don''t worry! You can catch up with the conversation in your own time over on our Facebook page.
