• Learning on your terms. We offer flexible options so you can take courses online, in-person, or in a hybrid online/in-person model. Our online courses are completely self-guided, which means you do the work when it's best for you because you're never tied to a specific class time.
• No one starts at zero. At UC, we respect all the previous classroom learning, work, and life experience that you bring to the table. UC awards more prior learning credit than other institutions (up to 45 credits toward and associate's degree and up to 90 credits toward a bachelor's).
• We provide personalized attention that you typically do not find at public or fully online institutions. You will see this through:
  • Smaller class sizes than most other institutions
  • A resource specialist assigned to you to help chart your path
  • One-on-one tutoring to support your success (included in tuition)
• A strong and distinctive Healthcare Administration program that is taught by experts with industry experience and designed to prepare you to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.

University College at Roger Williams University is designed with life in mind: we meet you where you are, and help you learn when you want to learn, and how you want to learn. How does it work?

• You take as few or as many courses at a time as you’d like to. Your pace can vary from semester to semester. When the demands of your life fluctuate, you adjust accordingly and our specialists get to know you and work with you at every step to find the right balance between work, school, and life that you need to be successful.
• How do you prefer to learn? Does the idea of taking a course online and doing classwork at the times of day that work for you sound good? Or, would you rather be face-to-face with your professor and engaging in classroom discussions with a diverse group of students? How about a bit of both in a hybrid model? UC offers each of these options.

University College at RWU grew out of a need for a different kind of pathway to a degree. So many students – working adults finishing a degree, recent high school graduates looking for the right fit, parents dreaming of pursuing a college education, and many more – want and need a program that’s flexible, affordable, and relevant. UC is different and distinctive compared with traditional four-year colleges, community colleges, and fully online programs. Here’s why:

• We are a non-profit university that is focused #1 on students. A RWU degree carries weight and prestige in the working world.
• You can take as few or as many courses as you’d like, and this can vary from semester to semester depending on what’s happening in your work and life. Even as a part-time student, you can apply any need-based financial aid or tuition benefits for which you qualify.
• Courses and degree programs are offered exclusively online, in-person, or as a hybrid online and on-campus model. So, you learn the way that’s best for you.
• No one starts at zero with us. UC awards the most prior learning credit compared to most colleges and universities in the area. Whether you have extensive work or life experience, or previous college coursework, you can apply up to 45 credits to an associate’s degree and up to 90 credits to a bachelor’s degree. You might be much closer to that college credential than you think!
• Our credentials are stackable. Start by earning a 16-credit certificate, and then apply all of those credits to an associate’s degree (which means you’re already over a quarter of the way there!). After that, you can apply your associate’s degree toward a bachelor’s degree. You are always earning and building along the way.
• With UC, it’s always personal: smaller class sizes than most community colleges and public universities, a dedicated resource specialist to guide you along the way, and tutoring services available as part of your tuition.
