Dear Gerald,

As you may know, your support has enabled SAMH to fund a piece of essential research into why suicide is a leading cause of death in men. SAMH is proudly partnering with Professor Rory O’Connor at Glasgow University’s Suicidal Behaviour Research Laboratory to undertake this. We are writing to let you know about an opportunity to get involved further and help shape the future of suicide prevention work in Scotland.
Have you or anyone you know ever experienced suicidal thoughts and behaviours?
As part of this project, researchers are seeking men over 18 years with experience of suicidal thoughts and behaviours who would be willing to participate in a confidential study. The study aims to further understand suicidal thinking and behaviour in men.

Eligible participants will take part in an interview at either Glasgow University’s Gartnavel Hospital or a SAMH office. Participants will receive £30 for their time.

To learn more or find out how to take part, please contact Cara Richardson on c.richardson.1@research.gla.ac.uk or 07548032879.

Thank you for your continued support.
Warmest wishes,

Vanessa, Supporter Care Team
Please note that this is a research study and taking part in it does not imply receiving psychological treatment nor helpline services.
