Ambassador of the Month!
No more tri-fold boards!
“My students create projects using any app demonstrating their research on a specific type of cancer or topic related to cancer. They submit them through Schoology and I compile them into a page so they can learn from each other on the final day before winter break.”

EdTech Pro Tip
Challenge Your Students to Outperform You!
At the end of a unit of study, challenge your students to outperform you on a Kahoot, Quizizz, or another gamified solution of your choice. Create a self-paced game that reviews the learning targets for the assessment. The teacher is allowed to complete the activity once. Upon completion, you would post your score for the students to see. The students can play the activity multiple times, each time attempting to beat your score. Any student who outperforms your score receives a reward. I usually use candy. This underhanded and sneaky maneuver assists students to review the information and prepare for your assessment.

Professional Learning
You’ve adopted Schoology for your district, so now what? As a district, you have noticed the need for change to improve student learning outcomes, communication with stakeholders in your district, educator professional learning, etc. Where does one begin to determine what the next steps are for your district to leverage the power of Schoology successfully? Schoology offers a self-paced course entitled, “Schoology Compass,” to help districts identify their needs when it comes to driving change for all users.
It’s imperative for districts to remember that when making changes that leverage technology in the educational atmosphere, there can be a myriad of emotions and roadblocks that users encounter. To keep the vision of adopting Schoology on course and moving forward, Schoology has designed new Professional Learning Programs to address the Compass Success Routes. These Professional Learning Programs offer districts powerful learning opportunities on topics such as:
- Assessment Design
- Blueprint for Schoology Success: Effective Elementary Course Design
- Creating Powerful Partnerships: Digital Age Communication and Collaboration
- Powerful Professional Learning in the Digital Age
- Strategies for Schoologizing Course Content
- Serving Up Powerful Learning Experiences with Microsoft and Schoology
