''Do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus''
Colossians 3:17
Hello Tyler,
It''s National Volunteers'' Week this week. What a great opportunity to honour and acknowledge so many of you!
Here at SU, it''s our vision to see a new generation of children and young people come to have a vibrant, personal faith in Jesus. With 95% of children and young people not in church, the task of reaching them with the good news of Jesus is huge! That''s why we''re excited to be on this journey with like-minded, passionate people, just like you.
Despite the challenges of the last year, hundreds of you have volunteered on Scripture Union events, sowing directly into the lives of the 95. On top of that, we know many of you have sacrificially given your time to share Jesus with the 95 through your local church and in your local schools and communities.
While some things have had to pause or have looked a little different, so many of you have committed to the 95 through your prayers, actions and finances and we''re thankful for each and every one of you.

95 Community Spotlight
The 95 community is made up of thousands who''ve said ''yes'' to the 95, spread right across England and Wales. But who are the people who make up this community? Today we find out more about Moz from Keighley, West Yorkshire.
Tell us something about you?
Hi, I''m Moz (real name Daniel). 9-5 (and beyond!) I''m a physics teacher in an inner-city secondary school. I''m also a Scout leader and part of the leadership team at All Nations Church, Aire Valley.
What do you do and why do you do it?
I''ve been connected with SU since I was a child, going on SU holidays. When I turned 18, there was an ask for volunteers and I said yes! I joined a team at one of the holidays in Bakewell and have stayed connected with SU since!
For the past 10 years, I''ve been co-leading ''X:site Keighley'' with the support of SU. It''s for 7 - Year 7''s and their families. It's a great way for them to explore who Jesus is in a non-traditional way. Together with local churches, we run holiday clubs, and bi-monthly high energy events (when we''re not dealing with a pandemic!)
My ''why'' is simple, really. I love working with children and young people, and I''m just not content that 95% of children and young people don''t go to church, and a high percentage of them just don''t have a clue who Jesus really is!
What makes you smile?
I love it when we''re looking at a question such as ''how do I know God cares for me?'' during an Explore Together session, and a child builds a pirate ninja car from Lego, but then finds an excellent creative way to link it back to the question!

Prayer points for SU volunteers
- Give thanks for all SU volunteers who are committed to reaching the 95.
That they would know the joy of the Lord is their strength.
- Give thanks for those who have committed to the work of Scripture Union as they give, act and pray.
That they would be blessed in their faithfulness.
- Pray for Faith Guides as they as they see the Revealing Jesus mission framework in action.
That they would be refreshed by the Holy Spirit and energised for the summer.
- Pray for young volunteers as they step out in their faith.
That they would go forward boldly and with confidence in God.
- Pray for those who have found this year particularly hard.
That they would know God as their provider and comforter.

To all those who have faithfully served the 95 with us so far - thank you! To those of you who are interested in taking the next step, it''s really simple, contact your local team and they''ll be more than happy to start a conversation with you.
It isn''t about ''us'' and ''you'', it''s about ''we''. And together WE can reach the 95.

Amplify
Amplify is an evangelism mentoring scheme for 11- to 17-year-olds seeking to encourage, equip and empower young people to share their faith with their friends, family and community.
Do you know a young person who is actively living out what it looks like to share their faith; confidently speaking with peers, inviting friends to church, and generally taking any opportunity to share Jesus? If so, invite them to find out more.
Applications for 2021/22 are now open!
