Hungry Little Minds Delivery Partner Update

National Literacy Trust, Newcastle
A Christmas gifting of Hungry Little Minds ''Little Learning at Home'' booklets and age appropriate picture books are being distributed with clothing and food aid packs via North East Solidarity and Teaching (N.E.S.T) for asylum seekers and their families housed in temporary accommodation in Newcastle and the Tees Valley.
Early Years Alliance, Cornwall
Through our work in Cornwall and the use of social media spreading the word of the Hungry Little Minds campaign, we have secured a new partner in the South West. Thanks to Torbay local authority for getting involved and placing an order of around 450 packs of resources!
CaVCA, North Yorkshire Coast
The CaVCA team have had some brilliant Peep sessions with families across the North Yorkshire Coast, check out the cutest photos of the toddler group on their Facebook page. They have also sent out many of the Hungry Little Minds chat, play and read booklets to Closer Communities, a charity which has formed during the COVID-19 pandemic to support families with children who have disabilities or complex medical needs.
The Institute of Wellbeing, Croydon
The Institute of Wellbeing have been continuing with their wellbeing cafes, which you can now watch on YouTube! This week they had Suzy Rowland speaking about her new book on special education needs and disabilities. Catch up with this wellbeing cafe session here.

National Literacy Trust, Middlesbrough
The Middlesbrough Council School Readiness team have introduced community organiser Anne Goodall to parents, who were delighted to hear about the campaign and the benefits of chatting, playing and reading together. Anne has provided these families with books and resources, and directed them to our Words for Life website. We hope they enjoy the activities!

Foundation Years Trust, The Wirral
The elves at the Foundation Years Trust were very busy this month, ensuring children eligible for two-year-funding/free school meals have lots of fun activities to do over the Christmas period. Our goody bags were packed with crafts, books and lots of activities, and food hampers on their way! We've now sent out over 6000 packs since lock down, so we're off to put our feet up! Wishing our families, volunteers and all those who've supported us a lovely Christmas and we look forward to exciting things to come in 2021.
