Support Groups Central Sign Up Information

Have you ever been frustrated when trying to register for a Drop-In Support Group only to find out that you''re 12 places or more down on the waiting list?

We're making our Waitlist and Meeting Standby Room features standard for ALL groups on our Support Groups Central platform.

Changes to our Waitlist feature will help to ensure that everyone is offered a seat. If you receive an offer for a seat you will now have a limited time to accept that seat. The time you have to respond will get shorter as the meeting start approaches, but don't worry, we will clearly let you know what your cutoff time is. We're doing this to speed up the process and offer more seats to those in need.

When you register for a meeting, we will also ask for a cell phone number. This is optional and is to provide us with the option of sending you text message notifications about your meeting reminders.

We'll also remind anyone on the Waitlist about our Meeting Standby Room which you can enter prior to the start of the meeting-if we have "seats" available, this feature will help to get you in.

To use this feature you must first be on the waiting list, then log in 15 minutes before the start of the meeting. If a standby room is available for your meeting, you will see an "Enter Standby" button on your dashboard or on your "My Meetings" tab. Click on this button to enter the room.

When you first enter the standby room you''ll see a status message. As seats become available, they will be offered to members in order. When a seat is offered, click on the "Accept Seat" button where you will be prompted to complete your registration as you normally would.
