Hot-Light Fastness Testing

Materials used in automotive interiors face extreme conditions. Temperatures inside a vehicle can reach more than 100?C (212?F). In addition, solar radiation filtered through automotive glass produces a spectrum unlike that of natural sunlight. Evaluating lightfastness in this challenging environment requires specialized test methods. In this seminar, we'll take a detailed look at "hot-light fastness testing," including standards such as ISO 105-B06 and SAE 2412 - as well as OEM specifications such as GM's GMW 9538 - which define the temperature conditions and the optical filters required for Xenon-arc test instruments.
