Honestly, we''re not sure how it''s already September (time sure does fly in a pandemic), but for better or worse, this year has changed our lives and forced us to adapt. We''re amazed by the experiences our ministers continue to share with us, and we cannot express how proud we are of all of you who''ve stepped up to save the wedding day!

We don''t know what to expect as we continue to navigate COVID-era weddings, but here at AMM we are grateful for the virtual "glue" that holds us all together. Maintaining strong connections with our community is more important than ever in these times, and we are committed to providing the best support, reliable information and guidance to our ministers and the people they serve.

Well, just six months ago, no one would have dreamed that the start of wedding season would look and feel like this. As our country figures out how to resume daily life during a global pandemic, we urge you and your loved ones to stay safe and innovative.

We also want to remind you that, despite these uncertain times, love is not cancelled. Here at AMM, we''ve made it a top priority to provide clarity and guidance on the safest practices within the wedding industry, so that you and the people you serve can make informed decisions. From our unique perspective on the wedding world, it's becoming clear that the temporary restrictions put in place are no match for the innate desire of humans to celebrate love. As wedding officiants, we must be creative and relentless in our efforts. 

It is our hope that you will take proper precautions and steps to not only protect your communities, but to lead and inspire as well, all while joining people together - safely - in love.

And with the announcement of a COVID-19 vaccine, and a new year inching closer... we're feeling pretty optimistic.
 
Plus, a vaccine isn't the only thing on the horizon -- we've been connecting with AMM ministers, couples, and wedding officiants all over the country to create all kinds of amazing new blog articles, ceremony scripts, free resources, and website features for you! It's wild to think that only six months ago, the average couple planning their wedding would probably wait until the last minute to think about their ceremony and book their officiant.

Now, in the midst of a global pandemic, there''s a significant change in priorities -- and officiants and ceremonies are pretty much the only things that couples are concerned about when it comes to getting married!

As we adjust to the challenges of wedding planning and day-to-day life, we will continue to communicate and collaborate. We will continue to celebrate not only the people we serve, but others in this community, as well as our own successes. Amidst difficult times, couples have no choice but to focus on what really matters when it comes to weddings. Couples are realizing that the longstanding comforts and securities of marriage mean so much more than having a fancy wedding, and large scale events are being canceled or postponed in lieu of elopements and more intimate ceremonies.

Now, in the wake of COVID-19, officiants are finding that not only are their services in demand - but that their jobs are being acknowledged and appreciated in a whole new way.

Whether you''re performing a last-minute elopement or gearing up (and crossing those fingers!) for a 2021 wedding, we''re confident that the ceremony will remain the central focus of the big day - and that officiants will continue to play an all-important role.
