The Torbreck Collectors Wine Club

Hi Gonzalez,

You may not be aware, but as a premium wine producer, Torbreck placed a self-imposed limit on our annual wine production. This cap is formed by our commitment to quality wine making - a need to remain hands on for all aspects of the winemaking process, and by the fact that there are only a limited number of Barossa old vine vineyards which can reach the quality and style needed for our wines

The result is we sell out of almost all our wines each vintage.

Based on this, in mid 2017 the Torbreck team explored ways we could sustain our wholesale business into the future. After an international search, the result was the acquisition of the Escarpment Vineyard, a Pinot Noir specialist winery in Martinborough, in New Zealand North Island.

Led by Larry McKenna, one of New Zealand's most esteemed premium Pinot Noir winemakers, Escarpment Vineyard is a great compliment to the Torbreck family. We are two separate wineries with a vision to produce remarkable and distinctive wines which speak of the vineyards of our respective regions.

Season''s Greetings from Torbreck

Hi Gonzalez

It has definitely been a strange year all round, but despite the disruptions, vintage 2021 is just around the corner, and our Winemakers and our Viticulture team (the handsome lads in the picture above) are excited to seeing what the season brings.

We are already in planning for a number of events and dinners for 2021, and we are quietly excited about next years 2016 release of The Laird, and the 2018 releases of RunRig and Les Amis - already regarded as two stunning Barossa vintages.

Cellar Door is now open to (almost) full capacity, and we''d love to see you in the Barossa over Summer. If not, we hope you can enjoy a fine bottle of your favourite Torbreck wine with family and friends this season.

On behalf of all the Torbreck Team, we''d like to wish you and your family a safe and happy Christmas and New Year, and we look forward to keeping in touch in 2021.

2018 Growers'' Cut Shiraz - Now Available

Each year, our Grower''s Cut award recognises the Torbreck grower of the season, and results in a small single vineyard bottling from the winning vineyard. Snowy and Regina Helbig were recipients of The Growers' Cut for 2018 with their Marananga Shiraz vineyard .

Their 'Block 3' vineyard is located on the famous Roennfeldt Road, just a short drive from the Torbreck Cellar Door.

Planted on heavy red brown earth over loam littered with ironstone and schist, this is a consistently low yielding block that provides immense depth of flavour and concentration.

2018 The Growers'' Cut is now available to purchase for $75.00.

** Torbreck Wine Club Members will receive one bottle of the 2018 Growers'' Cut in their upcoming Summer Wine Club pack.
