The vast majority of these new connections are in the countries of the European Union, as they are the result of EU legislation (PSD2).
Which connections are API based?
In bank connection search, you''ll see them marked with a grey API icon on the right. You''ll see a notice with the same icon if editing an API connection.
How do I set up these new connections?
New connection: Add it like any other. It will be marked with the API icon & notice. Where available, the API type connections are set as the default one.
Existing connection: If your existing connection isn''t API-based, but one is now available, you can switch.
To do that, you''ll need to add it as a new connection. It will add new financial accounts to import on. To avoid overlap of transactions with your earlier accounts, make sure to set the new connection to only import from a certain date onward. Set it to the last day for which you have data from your older connection.
When your new accounts have imported the data, you can simply merge with the older accounts, to unify them again. When asked, set to keep updating transactions from the newly connected bank account.
Toshl Medici & free 30-day trial
