this year sees the 8th edition of the brilliant m-v-f- awards recognizing the best of visual music production in brazil and internationally.

the awards celebrate seven international works (non brazilian) in addition to 15 domestic videos. the creative challenges of the pandemic are to be recognsied with 3 new awards including best lockdown and animated video in addition to best livestream/virtual concert. full details available here.

it''s open to filmmakers anywhere in the world who have made a video during the period of lockdown.

new genre categories announced

our music video genre awards have been updated:
best pop video
best r&b / soul video
best dance / electronic video
best rock video
best alternative video
best hip hop / grime / rap video
in each genre, you have the choice of uk, international or newcomer.
uk is for a video by a uk artist; international for a non-uk artist; and newcomer is for any artist where the video was made for under ?8k (or equivalent) by a less-established director.

new post production and agent awards

this year we''re seeking entries for the best post production company, and the best agent. in both cases, entrants will need to provide 5 videos from the past year to qualify.
best agent is open to individuals who represent directors, or dops, or stylists, art directors, production designers, or any other professionals in the business of music video-making.

thanks to a brand new collaboration, the uk music video awards is giving you a chance to have your work celebrated by the mvpa in america!

the mvpa awards - the american music video industry awards - is back for the first time since 2013 and we''re powering its rebirth via the ukmva platform.

any videos by american directors, production companies or artists entered into the ukmvas will automatically qualify and be entered into the mvpa awards in the same category at no extra cost.

there''s also a best international video award for entries for artists and filmmakers outside of america.

if you want to take part in the mvpa awards 2020, submit your entries via the ukmva website before midnight on 3 august 2020 using the ukmva categories and we''ll do the rest.

and if you''ve already entered a qualifying video, individual or company, we''ll automatically create your mvpa entry for you.
