And that''s a wrap, folks!

The plates have been cleared, the tables wiped down, menus have returned to daily offerings, and, hopefully, hospo teams are having a well deserved rest and are putting their feet up as Visa Welly On a Plate draws to a close for 2020.
At a time when most of the world is in a state of turmoil and experiencing lockdown restrictions, we feel extremely grateful to have been able to come together on #CommonGround to enjoy culinary delights from all over the Culinary Capital during this year''s Visa Welly On a Plate.
We want to thank you - the diners - for backing Wellington''s hospitality industry across the entire region. You got out there, supporting local and our hospitality industry in the biggest way, and it gave us such great joy to see everyone getting behind our restaurants, bars, cafes, producers and venues. We''re thankful for that, and encourage you to continue to support them all year long!

And, lastly, the biggest thanks of all...
A very heartfelt thank you goes out to all the extremely hardworking hospitality folk who show up everyday (and often all night) to be there for you, the diners. From the produce growers, the bun bakers, the winemakers, the chefs, front of house teams, restaurant and bar owners, the cocktail makers, event organisers, the support staff, the creative minds behind interesting and exciting new culinary delights, and everyone who takes our tastebuds to the next level - we thank you!!
We hope you have enjoyed this last month, Wellington (and out-of-town visitors!). Please share your favourites, and tell us your picks in our surprise 2020 People''s Choice Awards announcement. Read on, and thanks for eating, drinking, and being so very Welly with us. ??

Last Sunday night at the Felix Wellington Hospitality Awards, we were proud and honoured to receive the Outstanding Innovation of the Year Award by the Restaurant Association of New Zealand, for our initiative, At Yours by Visa Wellington On a Plate.
At Yours was a comprehensive one-stop directory of food and beverage services operating across the Greater Wellington Region offering contactless click and collect, home delivery and takeaway during Level 3 and Level 2 lockdown.
With over 420 services listed on the site, and bespoke mapping functionality that allowed users to quickly and easily see who was operating close to their location, At Yours was a simple but practical solution that connected businesses directly to the hungry dining public during a time of great uncertainty (no matter their size or marketing budget).
Our thanks goes out to our partners, Wellington NZ, for backing this initiative, as well as our talented web agency, Click Suite, for helping make it happen in record time.
The team at Wellington Culinary Events Trust wishes all Felix Awards nominees and winners a huge congratulations! In this challenging year we are so pleased to be part of this resilient and vibrant hospitality community that makes Wellington, New Zealand''s culinary capital.
