This Labour Day weekend, for the first-time (in for what feels like the longest 4 weeks in history), people can travel up to 50km from their home for recreational fun. 

But what is within 50km of you? 

We''ve made a list (who doesn''t love a list). To help take the guessing work out of your adventure-filled weekend itinerary,  we''ve launched a brand new search that provides you with a personalised list of natural attractions within a 50km radius of your postcode. 

Outdoor picnics are also allowed under the new restrictions - and we're encouraging everyone to support local businesses that have been doing it tough by ordering takeaway to enjoy as a picnic.

While we pile on the layers for the winter chill, 25,000 Humpback whales make their annual pilgrimage up the east coast in search of warmer waters. We're lucky here in Moreton Bay as the Moreton Bay Marine Park forms part of their very path. 

The countdown is now on until the start of the 2020 Whale Watching Season, this year kicking off on Saturday, 11 July.

The whales are heading back to Moreton Bay and you can get up close and personal with them from 4^th July.

Like most things, COVID-19 has thrown a spanner in the works for the whale watching season. Thankfully, Brisbane Whale Watching are ready to go and will be kicking off their season in just a couple of weeks (4^th July).
