Grand Re-Opening

It''s been a strange year, by all means. However, when a favorite business reopens (safety protocols in full force), it''s a reunion of sorts. Maybe your favorite restaurant is back in business, maybe you''re ready to relive some fun nights at Hotel Congress. The point is, in Tucson''s "urban core" (think the area connected by the Modern Streetcar, Sunlink - Main Gate Square, Fourth Avenue, Downtown and the Westside, including the Mercado San Agustin), there''s more to do seemingly every day.

While we''re still waiting for a day (or more appropriately, night) when we can enjoy a show at the Rialto or the Fox still, with your mask on and understanding that social distance is still part of the plan, you see the new wing at the Tucson Museum of Art, do some shopping, have a great meal, see some live music and enjoy one of the area''s great hotels. It might not be exactly what you had planned, but if you can use a break from the home office, Tucson''s wide open spaces are ready to be your (safe) escape.

Graduate Tucson - A Desert Retreat in Wildcat Country

Nestled in the heart of the University of Arizona's campus, the Graduate Tucson hotel blends modern accommodations with a trailblazing Southwestern spirit. Feel at home in this desert retreat, just steps from Arizona Stadium and downtown Tucson.

Whether you're a hotel guest or a Tucson local, stop in and enjoy a coffee with at Poindexter, the lobby-level caf? and coffee shop, or take in the views of Mt. Lemmon at the rooftop bar and restaurant. Prepare to be inspired by little moments of surprise and discovery around each corner and down every corridor.

Sign up for Graduate Tucson emails to receive updates and news directly to your inbox, plus you''ll be entered to win a two-night stay!

Yes, you think of food when you''re downtown, thanks to Tucson''s UNESCO City of Gastronomy designation, but there are also a wide variety of fun shopping experiences - nearly all locally owned and featuring work by local artisans that will be impressive to your friends and family. Visit Tucson, Shop Tucson. Makes sense, right?
Thanks to the 700,000-plus readers of Cond? Nast Traveler for voting Tucson as the 9th best "big" city in their annual Readers Choice Awards. Now, we''re absolutely coming for Nashville next year (watch out, Music City!), but we''re also thrilled to be in an incredible list of cities. We agree: "the great outdoors is the real star of the show in this desert city." Whether you''re exploring Saguaro National Park by foot or riding the Loop on two wheels, there''s a lot to love in the open air in Tucson.
