AMERICORPS NCCC
AMERICORPS NCCC, SOUTHERN REGION IS NOW
ACCEPTING PROJECT PROPOSALS
Is your organization or community in need of dedicated individuals who want to make a difference? You can apply now for a team to get things done and accomplish your project goals!
Each year, AmeriCorps NCCC engages its teams in communities across the United States. Service projects, which typically last from six to eight weeks, address critical needs related to natural and other disasters, infrastructure improvement, environmental stewardship and conservation, energy conservation, and urban and rural development. Our members have mentored students, assisted pantries & donation centers, constructed and rehabbed low-income housing, cleaned up streams and watersheds, helped communities develop emergency plans, and addressed countless other local needs.
If your organization or another organization you know is interested in hosting an NCCC team in 2020 to support needs in your community during (Round 2: October 21st - December 15th), please submit a Project Concept form no later than July 1st. This is the first step in the application process, which I would be happy to discuss with you in more detail.
For more information about AmeriCorps NCCC or more details about developing projects in the states of Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee, please call 202-489-5097 or e-mail teatmon@cns.gov.
