Dear Water Action Hub community,

New Hub users often ask, "How much work will it take to maintain my organization's Hub presence?"

The truth is, we know you are busy! That's why we designed the Hub to be simple to update. Although we hope you'll check back often to browse your notifications about the regions you follow, check out our Lessons Learned library, and list new projects on your Hub profile, there are only a few essential tasks required to keep your organization's Hub profile running smoothly.

  1. Check your email settings to make sure Hub notifications (from the domain @wateractionhub.org) do NOT go to your spam folder.
  2. Visit your Hub inbox when you get an email notification about a new Hub message.
  3. Ensure that your organization's Primary Contact accepts or declines new membership requests. Only accept membership requests from someone who already works with your organization as an employee, volunteer, or contractor.

What is the difference between a project and an organization on the Hub?
"Organizations" and "Projects" are the two primary types of data points on the Hub global map. "Organizations" are generally permanent legal entities with employees, whereas "Projects" are generally the specific, often location-based, time-bound efforts of that organization to advance water stewardship.

On the Hub, both "Organizations" and "Projects" can add members and share information. All users can join multiple "organizations" and multiple "projects."
