On Tuesday July 30, Watford FC will be hosting a very special event which will take place at the club�s training ground.

Available exclusively to Junior Hornets members, we�re giving young supporters the chance to spend the afternoon with Javi Gracia and the first team players participating in various fun filled activities including inflatables, mini-games, face-painting and much more!

To be in with a chance of winning an invite to this event, all you need to do is complete the form below by 5pm Friday July 19.

All entrants will be entered into a prize draw and winners will be notified by Tuesday July 23.

Your chance to help decide the future of the club�s crest

As you know, the Hornets are the first top-flight club to put the chance to design a new club crest out to the world!

Budding designers around the globe are being asked to share their ideas as to what logo might best represent Watford FC in the future.

A panel of 20 Hornets� supporters � which anyone can apply to join � will be needed to work together with the club to narrow all the submissions down to a final choice of a maximum of five new designs plus the existing badge for a final vote.

DESIGNS ON THE FUTURE

A new-look club crest could be in your hands � literally

The Hornets are set to be the first top-flight club to put the chance to design a new club crest out to the world!

Throughout next year, as we mentioned at a fans Q&A event during last season, we�re looking for ideas from budding designers around the globe as to what logo might best represent Watford FC in the future.

It was based on the idea of making Watford as instantly identifiable to fans of football worldwide; what would really represent us best as we move towards a new decade?

And the beauty of this process is you�ll all get to vote on your favourite. We�ll eventually whittle the final selection down to six; five new designs and the current crest, which could remain if it gets the majority of the vote.

For now though, spread the word.

Are you a graphic designer? Or perhaps you sketch in your spare time and are full of ideas? You�ll probably know someone who�s into design either way, and that�s where your chance to be a big part of this starts.

On Thursday, just after the fixtures are announced for 2019/20, we�ll be publishing details of how this will work, starting with instructions as to what to do to submit a design for our supporters� panel to consider.

Watford FC is pleased to announce the launch of the new official mobile app, offering digital match tickets and exclusive content.

Due to difficult circumstances surrounding ticket sales for this weekend�s potential FA Cup fourth round tie against Manchester United (Sunday January 26), and with match ticket uploads onto Season Cards restricted to season ticket holders that purchased during the initial on-sale period between 9am � 3pm on January 16 for this fixture, we want to do all we can to ensure the number of matchday ticket collections are kept to a minimum.

So, for the first time, Hornets fans will be able to access Vicarage Road Stadium via the use of a digital ticket that can be accessed via the official Watford FC mobile app designed to reduce queues at the Ticket Office and make your matchday experience as smooth as possible.

Mobile ticketing is new to football and Watford FC will be one of the first Premier League clubs to introduce a digital ticket to supporters and whilst ongoing developments will be continuously made to improve the app-user�s experience, we are now able to offer this new service to Hornets fans.

Initially these digital tickets will be exclusive to match ticket buyers only (including all tickets sold for this weekend's potential FA Cup tie against Manchester United), however we are looking into the possibility of extending the mobile ticket service to season ticket holders for all Premier League games in future.

A FanScore account will need to be registered by simply entering your email address (if possible, please use the email address linked to your Fan ID) and creating a unique password before tickets can be accessed. All match ticket purchases linked to your Fan ID will automatically upload and will be displayed on the app within three hours of your ticket account being linked. For full ticketing instructions on the mobile app, including device specific guidelines, please click on the link below.

The Watford FC app also includes exclusive content, offers and competitions not seen on our other channels, as well as a match centre with live audio commentary and interactive polls.

Available on iOS and Android, you can now download the Watford FC app for free and check out what's on offer - for a limited time only you will even receive a unique discount code for The Hornets Shop, in-store or online, once the app has been downloaded.

Hornets fans can now book their place for this year's popular Golf Day at The Grove in Chandler's Cross, which will be held on Monday April 6, 2020.

The day will start with a breakfast reception and guests will then be invited to play 18 holes on a superb course which held the British Masters in 2016. Once the course has been completed, guests will then get to enjoy pre-dinner drinks followed by a two-course carvery meal, and to round off the day we will make presentations to the day's winners.

In addition, we will once again be joined by Watford personalities past and present who will be with us for the duration of the day, some of whom will be invited to say a few words as part of the awards presentation.

A video stream of our friendly match against Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow (Saturday, 3pm BST kick-off) will be available for a one-off ?5 fee, while audio commentary will be included with any subscriptions purchased.

About Hive Live
One of the The Vic''s familiar voices, matchday announcer Emma Saunders will lead the hosting of Hive Live, with Hornets'' legend Tommy Mooney also a regular in the studio. A number of special guests, including other ex-players, will be part of the show to either give their views or provide expert analysis alongside the voice of Watford FC matchday commentary, Jon Marks.

The Hive Live matchday show will start at 2pm for Saturday 3pm fixtures, 7pm for midweek kick-offs and at least 30 minutes before any different kick-off date and time when a game is moved for Sky Sports coverage.

Hive Live launches with a pilot show at 2.30pm on Saturday 5 September for the Spurs pre-season friendly.

See below for the answers to some frequently asked questions about the service, so you can pick the package that''s right for you.

Are all matches home and away available?
All home and away games are available for live video streaming, however there are some restrictions for games selected to be shown live by Sky Sports (these restrictions do not apply to live audio streaming).

Can I record the match to watch at a later time?
Recording and/or pausing of live streaming isn't possible, but full match re-runs will be available to watch again to subscribers from 1am UK time the following day.

Will a re-run or highlights of the matches be available at a later time?
A two-minute centrally-produced highlights package and club-produced extended highlights will be available on the Watford FC official YouTube channel from 1am UK time the following day.

I don't have a smartphone or device that's able to download the Watford FC app. Can I still watch?
Yes, you will be able to access Hive Live using a laptop/PC via the Watford FC website. For the best viewing experience on a smart device, we recommend using the free club app (search 'Watford FC' in your app store).

Are UK-based supporters able to take out monthly or seasonal subscriptions?
No. The EFL allows monthly subscriptions for supporters based overseas. Match-by-match access is available in the UK.

If I subscribe to the video package, will I also receive the audio package?
Yes, you will receive both in this case and will also be able to switch between audio and video during the broadcast.

Why is audio commentary no longer free to listen on the website?
The EFL does not permit the free online broadcast of audio commentary. Free radio commentary will still be provided by BBC Three Counties, usually via their FM frequencies.

Do I have to pay to watch or listen to the pre-match build-up and post-match analysis on Hive Live, or just the game?
Pre-match build-up will be free-to-air via the club website, post-match analysis and the match itself are only available when video or audio packages are purchased.

Will there be commentary over the live video stream of the match? Will this be the same as the audio commentary?
Yes, commentary provided by Jon Marks and an ex-Hornets player will be available on both audio and video packages.

Can I log into the same account on multiple devices? And can I stream the game on multiple devices simultaneously using one account?
No, you are only able to log into one device at a time.

Will Carabao Cup and FA Cup ties be available and included in monthly or annual subscriptions?
TBC. Details are yet to be confirmed for cup streaming arrangements.

Will the matches be streamed in HD?
Live video will be streamed at up to 1080p (1920x1080), but the actual resolution will depend on your own internet speed.

Watford fans'' sense of community is renowned within the football industry - and now here''s a chance to show why we''re The Original Family Club with our ''Hornets At Home'' initiative, during what''s set to be a difficult time for many due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The club will be writing to all of its elderly supporters and those with a disability, drawing information from its records held, offering the help of fellow Hornets'' fans. Assistance will also be made available to those who become house-bound through illness.

So we''re making a general appeal to Watford fans who''re in a position to help others to show our famed community ethos - embedded into the club by the late, great Graham Taylor OBE and Sir Elton John - and come forward with their offer to volunteer; whether that be chats on the phone, picking up shopping or some general maintenance tasks.

Those willing to help fellow Hornets should email themediateam@watfordfc.com. When writing, please include your full name, mobile number and postcode (Fan ID number if known would be great, too).

Watford FC staff will then give all would-be volunteers a ring to help establish the type of things they can help with and the likely timings that help might be available, matching locations of those offering helping hands with those needing extra assistance.

As a result of new lockdown measures, club stores at Vicarage Road Stadium and intu Watford are now closed until December 2.

However, online orders can still be placed for all Hornets merchandise by visiting shop.watfordfc.com, with dispatch times unaffected.

Click & Collect is only available from the stadium store. Staff will be on-hand from Monday to Saturday (including matchdays), 9.30am-5.30pm, but please wait to receive your confirmation email before coming to collect your order. Customers must present their confirmation email on collection, and there will be no entry to the store so additional items cannot be purchased.

Watford FC fully supports the Premier League''s decision to suspend fixtures due to the coronavirus outbreak.

"First and foremost, our concern is for the wellbeing of everybody connected with our club; players, staff and supporters," said Hornets'' Chairman & CEO Scott Duxbury.

"Our actions in recent weeks to take extra precautionary steps reflect that this has always been our priority; something our Head Coach Nigel Pearson reiterated fully at this morning''s press conference."

He added: "We will continue our usual lines of communication with our supporters, providing the most up-to-date information possible."

Read on for some key lines from Pearson''s press conference earlier today.

ON THE PAST WEEK

We''ve had players, as most clubs will have done, who have had symptoms of not being well. We''ve had players who have experienced illness, who have stayed at home. We were due to have a day yesterday offsite to do something different but we decided against that because of the growing concerns, so in the end we told all the players, technical and training ground staff to stay at home as a precautionary measure. We''ve currently got one player awaiting test results on his symptoms and then we''ll look at how we take it further. We''ve had somebody with a chest infection, somebody with an upset stomach, players who have shown flu-like symptoms. We also have many people who feel okay, and we introduced measures at the training ground over the past two or three weeks so we do what we can, but it''s a contact sport.

ON HOW THE CLUB HAVE HANDLED THE SITUATION

Yesterday morning myself, Gino (Pozzo), Filippo (Giraldi) and Scott (Duxbury) sat and discussed how we continue to deal with the situation here. We''ve tried to be as proactive as possible to look after the interests of our players and their families and all the staff here. We currently don''t have anybody with a positive return of a result, but I think in the current climate it''s pretty inevitable that we all will have contact with somebody who either has the virus or has recovered from it. In the meantime, we continue to be vigilant and do what is right for the wellbeing of all the staff who work at this football club. The country and indeed the world are in a state of anticipation as to what it means to them and so we''re no different.

ON WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

I think what''s important is that first and foremost we deal with the situation in terms of trying to look after the wellbeing of people involved in the industry. In terms of what the season will look like, I don''t know. We have to be prepared for any eventuality and I think that will be something that will be discussed. I think this is going to be a fluid situation in that there has to be a clear pathway of action, first and foremost. We have to be decisive in how the problem is dealt with initially. In terms of what would happen with the league season being concluded at a later date, we''ll see how that goes later on.

ON BEHIND CLOSED DOORS MATCHES

What about us? What about the coaching staff and the players? It''s a contact sport. To play behind closed doors I think is naive at best and in my opinion - not the club''s opinion - I think it''s a stupid idea. What is very important is that we protect the interests of everybody. The fans of football clubs want to see their teams play, they want to support them, and I think it''s only right that is the case. I don''t think playing games behind closed doors does anything other than trying to fulfil contractual obligations. We have to be mindful that this worldwide problem is not going to go away. It''s going to run its course, it''s not something we can stop, and we in the football industry have a responsibility to ourselves and each other to make sure that the wellbeing of everybody concerned is taken care of, first and foremost. We''re talking about sport versus the wellbeing of people here.

Following a meeting of Shareholders today, it was unanimously decided to suspend the Premier League with the intention of returning on 4 April, subject to medical advice and conditions at the time.

Statement from Hornets'' Owner and Chairman & CEO

The world hasn''t stopped turning - even though at times yesterday we all had a feeling of despair.

But from despair has to come hope. And that is why we as a club, as a community and as a group who have Watford Football Club in our hearts, we must build for a successful future.

There is obviously huge disappointment at losing our Premier League status, we cannot pretend otherwise. Every club wants to be playing at the highest possible level.

What league we play in, however, does not define the football club. We will not allow the core values of Watford FC to become diluted simply because we are not playing in the Premier League.

Everything we have achieved as a club over the past eight years should not be forgotten.

The fact that we have transformed Vicarage Road Stadium and built a club of true substance - with links to the community that are the envy of many - is a source of great pride. What we did for our NHS neighbours during a time of true crisis should stand as a beacon for what this club embodies.

We have always said we are here for the long-term and we will not allow this one moment of great disappointment to stop the continued development of this club over the next eight years and beyond.

This is not to detract from mistakes that were made surrounding the team this season. We have to be scrupulously honest with ourselves and admit our efforts surrounding the team were not good enough.

There will be lessons learned and changes made but, from today, we move forward. We have to accept a different challenge.

We will make changes where the team is concerned and those changes will make us stronger, ready to face the challenges that lie ahead and rekindle the passion that has always been a hallmark of this great club.

In sport, you will always face moments of great disappointment but it''s how you react that defines you.

Rest assured, we will do everything in our power to take Watford Football Club back to the Premier League, something we all believe we can achieve.

WATFORD FC ANNOUNCE RECORD FOUR YEAR TECHNICAL PARTNERSHIP WITH KELME

Watford FC is delighted to announce that it has reached an agreement with Kelme to be the club''s technical partner for four years from the beginning of the 2020/21 season.

The agreement is the largest in the club''s history and enables us to benefit from Kelme''s flexibility and bespoke design process.

Kelme will produce the club''s kits and trainingwear for the men''s and ladies'' first-team squads and all academy levels, as well as being responsible for an exciting range of technical products that will be featured in the Hornets'' retail stores.

"There have been better moments to launch this event!", says Aidy Mariappa, with a rueful smile, acknowledging that timing is everything in football.

"I''m very proud the club want to recognise my service to Watford. Although I left and came back, this is very much my club. I''m a local lad, I came through the ranks here and it''s a massive honour to still be representing them," adds the defender who now sits two starts short of 300 for the Golden Boys.

So we''re sure Hornets fans can gloss over a moment''s disappointment and come together to recognise an outstanding ten-plus seasons as a Watford FC professional at ''Mariappa''s Ten Men'' - taking place next month at Shendish Manor Hotel.

It''s a chance to join former Hornets - there''ll be at least one player representing each of Aidy''s ten seasons as a Watford pro before the current campaign - as well as current players and staff as they pay tribute to one of the club''s most well respected servants in a Q&A style informal evening.

Malky Mackay, Danny Shittu, Gavin Mahon, Jobi McAnuff, Martin Taylor, Younes Kaboul, Stephen McGinn, Nyron Nosworthy and the irrepressible Lloyd Doyley are among those ex-Hornets set to join a significant chunk of the current playing squad and coaching staff for this not-to-be-missed evening.

The night includes a two-course meal, Q&As with with many of the special guests plus a chance to mingle with players past and present once the evening begins to draw to a close.

The venue of choice Shendish Manor is to maximise the number of supporters able to attend, while still retaining a local feel to the event.

Introducing ''Hive Live'': Watford FC''s new live video & audio matchday streaming service

Our new ''Hive Live'' streaming service will give you the opportunity to either watch or listen to the vast majority of Watford FC''s EFL Championship matches during season 2020/21 - wherever you are in the Watford-supporting world.

One of The Vic''s familiar voices, matchday announcer Emma Saunders will lead the hosting of ''Hive Live'', with Hornets'' legend Tommy Mooney in the studio. A number of special guests, including other ex-players, will be part of the show to either give their views or provide expert analysis alongside the voice of Watford FC matchday commentary, Jon Marks.

There are fixed fees (applicable across the EFL) payable each time you watch or listen, with monthly and seasonal options also available depending on the service chosen and your location.

Viewing options change when a match is selected for live transmission by Sky Sports, and that''s when we intend to offer free access to all those who have taken up the ''Secure My Seat'' offer for a 2020/21 Season Ticket sale. Live audio streaming is unaffected by such choices, and is therefore available for all league fixtures.

The ''Hive Live'' matchday show will start at 2pm for Saturday 3pm fixtures, 7pm for midweek kick-offs and at least 30 minutes before any different kick-off dates and times when a game is moved for Sky Sports coverage.

Fans'' interaction with the show will be greatly encouraged. We''ll share further details just before ''Hive Live'' launches with a pilot show at 2pm on Saturday September 5 for the Spurs pre-season friendly.

How can I watch ''Hive Live'' live video streaming?

Either via watfordfc.com on desktop or laptop, or on your mobile through the club''s official app. Search ''Watford FC'' in the App Store, on Google Play or wherever you download your apps for your device.

The ''Watford FC'' app will become your essential matchday companion going forward, since ''Match Ballot'' tickets and then Season Tickets and match tickets in future will be delivered to the ticketing section of the app for mobile phone-led stadium access. To enjoy these exclusive ticketing and video streaming features throughout the 2020/21 campaign, get downloading the club app now, and be ready to create your ''Hive Live'' login from next week when the service is live.

Live video and audio streaming will be hosted, broadcast and delivered thanks to our long-serving online and broadcast partners Scout Digital, Stream AMG and Basecamp Consultancy.

(Note that free-to-air radio commentary will still be provided via the club''s relationship with BBC Three Counties Radio, however the only place to hear commentary from Jon Marks and special guest summarisers will be at ''Hive Live'')

Watford Football Club has reached an agreement with its players over a squad wage deferral.

The move follows positive and constructive discussions with the players - led by club captain Troy Deeney, and also including several senior members of the first-team squad.

Chairman & CEO Scott Duxbury said: "We are grateful to the players for recognising the importance of the situation and for their support of this fantastic club.

"It is a show of unity which we know our supporters and the wider Watford community will appreciate, and shows an awareness of the need for everybody to pull together in these incredibly challenging times.

We can be proud of the players for taking this step. They recognised they have a role to play and didn''t hesitate in taking a decision for the overall good of the club."

Captain Troy Deeney added: "It''s been sensible conversations going on for a few weeks now; between players and then me as that bridge as captain with Scott.

"Nobody, wherever they work, is keen on the idea of a pay cut, so there''s a bit of common sense and a good level of understanding has prevailed to get a pay deferral over the short-term."

The Hornets'' skipper added: "The details of what we''ve agreed are private - but they''re in the best interests of helping the club right now, no one needs to be in any doubt about that."
