When upgrading a customer from Alfresco enterprise 5.0.2 to 5.2.5, we noticed that when an exception is thrown by a behavior, it is not always properly bubbled to the CMIS Client. Instead, the client might receive a more cryptic error that doesn’t list the actual cause of the issue.

In this blog post, we will explore why this happens and how to get around it to ensure CMIS clients get fully informed of why their action failed.

Your Alfresco had been hummingly happily for a while. The sun shines, birds sing, and life is good. However, this morning you installed the new version 2.0 of that shiny AMP add-on that you love, and now Alfresco is refusing to work. With a sigh, you decide to uninstall it and go back to version 1.0.

The following?UiPath?activities are used to automate ECM repositories. This package can import and export specified documents to and from a connected repository. Custom properties can be added to documents imported from either local files or pre-existing documents from the repository. Documents can be searched for using standard SQL format and operations can be performed on the set of documents. Future enhancements will include the ability to update an existing document as well as callable methods that can be used to reduce code complexity for the user.

Historically, we have had a difficult time creating highly accurate solutions for our customers that have to extract handwriting. While some?Ephesoft Transact?projects can utilize RecoStar fixed-form extraction, for certain use cases it is not always possible. For this reason, we have partnered with?Vidado?and created an integration with?Ephesoft?Transact.

Over the last year, Zia has partnered with ASG around digital transformation. During this time, ASG has been developing their Digital Automation Platform, available on-premise and as a SaaS solution. At the beginning of this partnership, Zia and ASG held a hack-a-thon to work on joint solutions; Zia later joined the ASG-Zenith beta.

ASG's new?Zenith Digital Automation Platform?is now available and has a lot of promise in being helpful for day-to-day business life in many verticals. It's advertised as a "low" or "no" code solution for automating business processes.?While it may be helpful to have some technical knowledge, it is not necessary to be a software developer in order to create some complex applications and workflows.?If you do have knowledge of coding, it can help understand the "magic" that happens between the forms and models that are created on the platform as you build your application.?I decided to try it out for myself.

Over the last few years we, at Zia, have had the privilege of participating in several training sessions on?ASG Mobius?and other related products. We also have been able to take several versions of the online training.

A few weeks ago,?ASG?gave us the opportunity to participate in the internal training. ASG provided training to Sales Engineers and Professional Services consultants along with the launch of?Mobius?10.1.?

Zia recently started a Spring Boot project where the deliverables are Docker images. Automating the building and storing of images for each of our releases obviously followed as a requirement. With our code already in Bitbucket, we decided on?Quay.io?for storing our images.
